Elevate Labs is thrilled to welcome two new members to the team! Patrick Killian is our new Senior iOS Engineer. He has spent nearly a decade at Apple as a software engineer and technology evangelist. In his free time, you can find him out on a hiking trail, advocating for better cycling infrastructure, or teaching bicycle repair throughout his community. 🚲 Jonathan Girard Viau is our new Senior Backend Engineer. He studied software engineering and previously worked on the payments team at Shopify. Fun fact about Jonathan: He used to be a DJ, and he had a YouTube channel with over 400k views. 🎶 We're excited to have them on board!

Ten years ago, the digital landscape was rapidly changing. The iPhone 6 had just come out, Instagram was becoming very popular, and many websites started using responsive design. Yet, amidst this digital revolution, a few visionaries saw the need for a freer, fairer web, built on the principles of privacy and decentralization. Our founders, Jamie Burke and Aron van Ammers, and Stephan Apel were among those early adopters, championing Web3 innovation and laying the groundwork for a new digital era. Outlier Ventures was founded to support top Web3 founders building disruptive and transformative technologies that can significantly impact the future. ➡ This week, we celebrate Outlier X (watch this space), our ten-year anniversary, reflecting not only on our achievements but also on the incredible community that has made it all possible. Our journey has been fueled by the passion of our team, the support of our partners, and the innovative spirit of the founders we work with. As we look to the future, we’re excited to continue transforming the web, fostering innovation, and building stronger, more inclusive digital ecosystems. Hear more about it from 🔥 Matt Law & Radhika Chudasama ⬇ Thank you for being part of our journey. Together, we’ll keep pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. Here’s to the next decade of collaboration and growth! Fuel the future 🔥

Why Development Takes Us So Long 🥱 Long story short. Uber was started more than 14 years ago and it keeps improving. Launching MVP usually takes us 4-6 months. It helps to start raising your brand and allows you to attract investments. Now, let’s take a look at stages of MVP development and their duration: 1. Business Analysis: a week for polishing your app idea, getting feedback, and sizing up the market. 2. Business Plan: another week to whip up a killer business plan—focus on cash, costs, and how your app will make it rain. 3. Design: 2+ weeks to sketch and prototype your app, making sure it's user-friendly and drop-dead gorgeous. 4. Development: 12+ weeks for the heavy lifting—front and back-end development magic. 5. Testing: 4+ weeks in QA, making sure your code is tight and users won't hate your creation. 6. Deployment: 2+ days to submit your baby to the App Store and Play Market. Brace yourself—it might take a bit for them to say, "You're live!" 🚀 Interested how to speed up the process? Let me know and I`ll share tech secrets in the next post. #Requestum #MVP #softwaredevelopment #appdevelopment

It’s been an incredible week since we launched our closed beta to August Founding Members! 🚀 Getting the app into the hands of our biggest supporters has been a rewarding experience, with some fantastic results: 🗣 218 conversations with early users, gathering valuable feedback 👍 100% positive ratings in customer support conversations 📩 80% conversion rate from email to app download (compared to the 3.5% industry average) 😅 Only 1 typo spotted in the app (pobody’s nerfect) As a small but mighty team of developers, we’re able to move quickly. In fact, we’ve already implemented a number of user requests in v1.0.1 which we released earlier this week. Next up, we’re introducing new ways for users to submit feature requests, making it even easier for them to help shape and improve the product during the closed beta phase (and beyond). After that, we’ll be inviting our waitlist members to join before our public launch. Want to take part in our closed beta? Tap the link in the comments to become an August Founding Member ⬇️

📦 How Runway (runway.team) keeps Route's mobile deliveries on track 📦 All of Route’s technology is delivered to users in the best package of all: their native iOS and Android apps. Route’s mobile team of 20 engineers have a laser-like focus on making the apps an effective place to do three things: Track, Resolve, and Discover 🚚 While mobile experience was top of mind for their team, app releases became a clear bottleneck and risky single point of failure. With only a handful of people able to reliably run a release process, an endless list of cumbersome manual tasks, and bugs slipping into production - Route knew something needed to change 🤔 After contemplating a move to a slower release cadence, destiny brought Route and Runway together. Route's iOS and Android teams are now shipping weekly with confidence, and without the drain they felt before 🚀 Visit this article to see how Route was able to release more confidently, reduce overhead, and improve transparency across their org and between tools! 📈 And a special thank you to the team who helped bring this story to life: Augusto Pedroza, Alex Rafael Branti, and Matthew McArthur 🌠
