always done my mapping flights manually, probably because i never trusted the early apps, pretty sure things have moved on, so time i did, and now looking at upgrading my mapping drone, ( image is from my mini3pro im using for now at fairly low level) probably moving to mavic enterprise and maybe rtk module, just a bit more research to do as i also do a lot of film and photography, but to be honest, the mini 3 pro is adequate for what i need for that :) #drones #mapping #aerial #surveying

Capturing the roof. Our drone photography of new roofing works tries to focus on the roof-work. Client: We don't need a 3D model, just some images from drone. 𝗠𝗲: 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝘄𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗺𝘆 𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱 🤪. Once you pay for all costs to get the drone up in the air, it does not make a big difference if the operator spends 10 more minutes on the site. With as little as one orbit video, you can get an Interactive 3D scene using 3D Gaussian Splatting. That will give you much more perspective and spatial context of the site.
