Continuing our celebration of #WomensHistoryMonth, we're highlighting what it means to our community! 👭 Check out what Jaclyn Wands, Director of Product Management at our partner CData Software had to say: What does women’s history month mean to you? "Women's History Month holds profound significance as it provides a dedicated time to reflect on the invaluable contributions of women throughout history. It's a time to honor the resilience, courage, and achievements of trailblazing women who defied societal norms and paved the way for future generations. From suffragists fighting for the right to vote to scientists breaking barriers, women's history reminds us of the countless individuals who have shaped our world." How can society better celebrate women? "Society can continue to celebrate women by nurturing a culture of inspiration, support, and empowerment. This involves actively highlighting the diverse achievements and contributions of women across various fields through education, media representation, and public recognition. By sharing stories of resilience, innovation, and triumph, we can inspire and uplift women globally, fostering a sense of community and solidarity." Any words of wisdom or advice for young girls today? "To the young girls of today, I would impart this timeless wisdom: You are capable of achieving anything you choose. Embrace your passions, interests, and ambitions wholeheartedly, and pursue them with unwavering determination and perseverance. Remember the words of two of my favorite historical figures: Marcus Aurelius, who said, 'The impediment to action advances action. What stands in the way becomes the way' and Eleanor Roosevelt, who inspired generations by stating, 'You must do the thing you cannot do.' "Each challenge you encounter is an opportunity for growth and learning, merely a stepping stone towards realizing your full potential. Surround yourself with people who uplift and support you, who believe in your dreams as much as you do. Stay true to yourself, be kind to others, and never underestimate the power of resilience and grit. Believe in the boundless possibilities that await you and dare to dream big as you carve out your own unique path to happiness and fulfillment. Your future is yours to shape, so embrace it with courage and conviction." Well said! Stay tuned for more throughout the month! 🙏 #GirlsWhoCode #STEM #WomenInTech #celebrate #SingleStore

At 01 Founders we focus on removing all barriers to entry into the Tech Industry One of the perceptions is regarding what characteristics an individual might have to be good at tech. It truly does not matter if you are rich / poor, male or female, which ethnicity you are, what your cultural background it etc In fact, there are multiple research articles proving that the more diverse the workforce is, the more successful it can be For one day this year, we would like to focus on Women. You do not have to be a woman to attend! Come along and have a great day! https://lnkd.in/e-vge8uG

As we celebrate Women's History Month, let's take a moment to recognize the remarkable contributions of women throughout history and the impact they continue to make every day. From breaking barriers to driving innovation, women have consistently been instrumental in shaping our world. This month, let's amplify their voices, champion their achievements, and strive for a more inclusive future. In the IT industry, we've been fortunate to have many trailblazing women who have made significant contributions. As we honor them, here is a tribute to some of those remarkable women whose contributions have shaped the landscape of the industry throughout history. Grace Hopper, known as the "Queen of Code," was a true pioneer in the field of computing. Her groundbreaking work laid the foundation for modern programming languages and revolutionized how we interact with computers. Susan Wojcicki, the CEO of YouTube, is the driving force behind the success of the platform, making it a cornerstone of digital entertainment worldwide. Margaret Hamilton's innovative approach to software architecture ensured the success of the Apollo 11 moon landing. These incredible women are examples of those who exemplify the spirit of Women's History Month, reminding us of the countless trailblazers who have paved the way for women in the IT industry. As we celebrate their achievements, let's also commit to fostering an inclusive and diverse environment where every voice is heard and every talent is valued. 📸: Hannah Busing on Unsplash #WomensHistoryMonth #Empowerment #WomenInTech #DiversityAndInclusion #WIT #education #learnandbecurious

Why do women hate to talk about themselves? Instead: "Get Proud of Your Bio: Crafting Your Bio with a Blend of Professionalism, Personality, and Playfulness"! I'm thrilled to announce that I will present this workshop during Denison’s ReMix + Women Summit and would love to invite Denison Alumni to attend. What is ReMix + Women? To catalyze that next step: moving up the ladder, starting a business, changing companies, returning to the workforce, navigating the systems around you — all made possible by learning from other Denisonians. ReMix + Women is your chance to start that journey. Through breakout sessions, interactive workshops, networking opportunities, and keynote addresses, this two-day, on-campus summit is designed to connect women alums with students, all looking toward the future together.
