🌍 #YouthDay: A Call to Action for a Prosperous and Peaceful Future 🌍 Yesterday, the world celebrated Youth Day—a day dedicated to recognizing the potential, strength, and resilience of young people across the globe. Though I was unable to mark the occasion on the day itself, my commitment to the cause of youth empowerment remains unwavering. As a Global Youth Ambassador, a delegate of the World Youth Festival #wyf2024, and an Ambassador for the International Youth Conference (IYC) , I stand with the youth of the world in our shared aspiration for a future that is prosperous and peaceful. In my role as a young politician leading government communication in Aari Zone, I have seen firsthand the power of youth when they are united and determined. Our generation holds the key to solving the world's most pressing challenges, from climate change to social injustice. But we cannot do it alone. To my fellow youths: You are not just the leaders of tomorrow—you are the leaders of today. Your voices matter. Your actions count. Let us rise together, break down the barriers that divide us, and build a world where every young person has the opportunity to thrive. Our common future depends on our collective effort. Let's work together to create a world where peace and prosperity are not just dreams, but realities for every young person, everywhere. Today we share with you just 5 ways through which you can celebrate Peace Day in your community with little or no resources: 𝟏) 𝐄𝐜𝐨-𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐥𝐲 𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐩 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐏𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐞 Organize a clean-up campaign in your community to encourage environmental sustainability and highlighting the importance of a healthy environment for preserving peace. 𝟐) 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐏𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐞 Do it yourself and also encourage others to show compassion to strangers at various times of the day.Tell stories and encourage others to spread kindness. 𝟑) 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫-𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫-𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐮𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐏𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐞 Plan an event where individuals from various age groups or religious backgrounds can come together to talk about the value of peace,to promote understanding between people, encourage the exchange of viewpoints and experiences. 𝟒) 𝐕𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐏𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐎𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 Organizations around are planning peace day activities, be a part of it as a participant or a volunteer. 𝟓) 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐏𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐞 Plan sporting events that encourage inclusivity and dismantle barriers, advance harmony, and peace. Incorporate cooperative games that require teamwork and mutual support. The #G7 is more than just an international political event—it's where seven of the major economies (France, Germany, Italy, UK, Canada, Japan and USA) are put to the test against today's challenges, like #climatechange As a climate advocate I believe it's crucial to foster participation and co-creation during these events: it's a way to bring the perspectives of civil society and activists into high-level discussions and give all voices an opportunity to be heard. That's why I'm so delighted to share that I will be participating in the Youth 7 (Y7) Summit 2024, organized by the Young Ambassadors Society (YAS). The Young Ambassadors Society leads the Y7 and Y20 for Italy, which are the official engagement groups of the #G7 and #G20 for young people.
