Does it help if a Sales person's technical? ⌨ 👨🚀 Of course, if you're a Pre-Sales, Implementation Consultant or Developer, it's obviously essential! But does an Account Executive selling SaaS or IT Consulting need to be technical to be successful? From my perspective the answer is no, they don't. Sales is clearly about understanding the needs of the customer, drilling into the challenges they're facing, before presenting the client with parts of the proposition that best address the challenge discussed. So, in this scenario, a technical understanding of the vertical market the sales person's selling to and its range of challenges, maybe more useful than a deep understanding of the proposition. However, I may be wrong and this might not be the case in all environments! What's your experience, what do you think? I’d be interested to know. #saasrecruitment #technicalrecruitment #salesrecruitment #hiring #saasrecruitmentconsultant #itrecruitmentconsultant #salesrecruitmentconsultant #technicalrecruitmentconsultant #qualityrecruitmentservice #dosalespeopleneedtobetechnical
