We are proud to share that our Telestroke Program received the MGB Network Excellence Award for its outstanding stroke care, making Emerson a leader in the field. Our team works tirelessly to educate the community on recognizing stroke signs. When a patient suffers from a stroke, “time is brain,” meaning that with every minute that passes without treatment, the impact on the brain increases. Swift treatment is vital - and Emerson stands ready with the expertise, training, and proper treatment to stop the progression.

Maurizio Taramasso highlights the importance of reducing the clip appropriately and ensuring a coaxial trajectory to avoid entanglement with cardiac structures, such as the pulmonary vein, lateral mitral annulus, and left atrial appendage. Advocating for performing straddling and steering simultaneously rather than sequentially. This approach is presented as a safer and more efficient method to position the MitraClip. The clip delivery system is advanced carefully while simultaneously bending towards the mitral valve to maintain a safe trajectory.
