Difficult answer to simple question.
Many of my Polish followers probably know the Instagram profile Make Life Harder - a humorous profile run by the poet Jakobe Mansztajn. This profile has almost one and a half million followers and a specific, abstract sense of humor. His motto is "Difficult answers to simple questions".
I'm writing about this because I feel a bit like I've given just such an answer (of course, with a lot of help from my wonderful MIXD team). One of the most common questions people ask me is "What hotel do you recommend in city X?" Most often I have some good answers, but more and more often I also would like to be able to recommend our projects. Everyone likes to brag a little, everyone wants to show what they can do - especially if they are a hospitality interior designer, especially in their area. Meanwhile, the situation is such that I can recommend our hotels in Sarajevo, Katowice, Krakow, or Kołobrzeg, but I cannot recommend my hotel in my hometown...
So when once again someone asked, "What hotel do you recommend in Wrocław?" we gave a difficult answer to a simple question and designed one...
Of course, this is a joking take on this very serious investment and project.
For now, we are very happy that Accor has included it on their global list of its most important hotel openings in 2024. Ladies and gentlemen - Movenpick Wrocław!

3moLost 5 bags on the 18th of April in Dubai floods, after emirates “Suspended” all Check In’s and refused to reschedule flights for all passengers. After travelling around two countries and now setting up our life in Ireland we are still waiting for our bags to arrive. 11 weeks later, and we are still having to chase up Emirates regarding any sort of update with where our bags are an no compensation in sight. We have had to fork out savings for everything we had packed to move overseas. It is a struggle enough to get a hold of Emirates, even our parents back home in Australia struggled also. The rare times we have gotten a hold of Emirates we are met with the “we will with follow this up with an email” and don’t hear back from them. For an airline that is known to be “one of the best”, we have been beyond disappointed in the way they have handled the situation. To start our compensation process emirates, proceed to tell us we need a “flight certificate” to start the process. However, have received no flight certificates in the past 3 months after applying for them three times. Every time we contact emirates, they are quick to say we have no details on this.
