This is so true! Has been my passion to educate that leaders of nonprofit businesses deserve a seat at all business functions, not just “nonprofit day”. We are running businesses with incredible missions impacting society. I share often that research shows that philanthropists in Rhode Island give first to their church; second to their educational institutions and then their favorite nonprofits.. there are 9,000 of them in Rhode Island!. That is a competitive market that requires investment in strategic marketing and communications as well as strong donor relationship building skills, but often times the first question is how much money is going to overhead and fundraising(sales) activities. Invest in those making a difference in the community. Will, I enjoy watching and learning how you have grown your business and what at impact you are making! Keep it up!
