Women in manufacturing has always been a challenge, however I have never seen it as something to hold me back. The lack of education within job roles and possibilities for any gender in manufacturing is often misinterpreted, with the focus being that manufacturing is a “dirty job.” And yes….. It can be, however there are many areas that are not and like any sector we have to discuss and be open about opportunity! Without manufacturers you would not be seeing this post! Think on that. I am thankful like minded people like Dr Megan Ronayne are positive about women in manufacturing and are leading by example. We do need more voices no matter what gender to talk/shout/discuss why in the UK we are so good at making stuff! #manufacturing #ukmfg #plastics #plasticsindustry #marketing
