One thing I’ve learned from interacting with fellow gym owners is that for the most part all of us face similar challenges. Here are just a few: - Unresponsive landlords when something in the facility needs fixing - Noise complaints from neighbors about music or dropping weights - Frequent membership holds and cancellations - Difficulty finding coaches available for early mornings and weekends Does any of it sound familiar? I’ve experienced my fair share of these struggles, and I know many of you have too. But here’s the silver lining: we’re not alone. Gym owners worldwide—and likely in your own community—are dealing with the same obstacles. This is why connecting with other gym owners is so important. Sharing ideas, solutions, and lessons learned can save time, energy, and resources while providing invaluable support. Together, we’re all working toward the same mission: helping people lead healthier, fitter, and happier lives. Let’s lean on each other’s strengths and wisdom to grow and thrive—not just as individual businesses, but as a collective. If you need help if getting connected, message me and I'll help you get started. #GymOwner #FitnessIndustry #SmallBusinessSupport #CommunityOverCompetition #FitnessEntrepreneur #GymLife

🌟 Why COMMUNITY Is Your Gym’s Greatest Asset… 🌟 The thing about a gym is that it’s not about the equipment, the classes, or the location, it’s all about the community. Trever from @Vigor_MVMNT puts it perfectly: A thriving community is good business — it’s what makes your gym unique. 💬✨ Here’s why community matters more than ever: ✔️ Retention through connection: When people have belonging, they stick around, they advocate for your gym. ✔️ Culture drives success: Strong communities cause a positive environment where everyone pushes one another to achieve what they wanted. ✔️ More than fitness: You’re not just helping people pick up weights, you're helping people build relationships, confidence, and lifestyle changes. Trever’s advice? The focus should be to build experiences for your members, be it in the form of events, challenges or opening up your community as a friendly place. Building community is as much as building loyalty that NO ONE can pay to replace! I’m curious:💬 What’s one way you are building a stronger community in your gym? Every business owner should make himself go to the gym. 🏋️♀️🫵 I get asked by friends all the time, "how are you motivated the way you are with your business?" My answer is, I go to the gym! 🏃♂️🤭 The gym has taught me so many important things. ➔ Delayed Gratification: going to the gym and not seeing results for a long time. 🥵 If you want to succeed in business, you have to be able to work without seeing the money coming in right away. 👎🤑 ➔ Consistency: I have been going to the gym consistently for over two years now, and that has taught me to be consistent with my business. 💪👩💼 ➔ Discipline: I always go to the gym, even when I do not feel like it. There are no excuses, not when I am sick or on vacation or at any time. 🙅♀️ I wake up in the morning, take my kids to daycare, and go straight to the gym. I've turned it into a habit, just like brushing my teeth. 😊🪥 When it becomes a habit, just being unmotivated won’t control my actions anymore. 🫡 Are you considering going to the gym now? #socialmediamanager #gym #socialmediamarketing

Forgetting THIS is why your gym is FAILING… Explained by Trever with @Vigor_MVMNT below. Why COMMUNITY is your #1 ASSET as a gym owner… As a gym owner, your biggest strength isn’t just your equipment or your programs—it’s your community. 🏋️♂️✨ Trever breaks it down like this: The sense of belonging you create within your gym isn’t just good for morale—it’s the foundation of loyalty, retention, and long-term growth. A strong community keeps your members motivated, turns them into advocates, and fosters an environment where goals are achieved together. 🙌 Here are a few tips inspired by Trever’s philosophy: ✔️ Foster connections: Create opportunities for members to engage with one another beyond workouts. ✔️ Celebrate wins: Recognize individual and group achievements to strengthen bonds. ✔️ Communicate consistently: Show members they’re part of something bigger with regular check-ins and updates. Building a strong gym community isn’t just about business—it’s about creating a home for growth, connection, and transformation. 💪 What’s one thing you’re doing to strengthen your gym’s community? SELL RESULTS!!!!!!! Doing the same thing over… I’ve done 40 January’s. Or 500 month ends. I’ve sold memberships myself and managed every sales team that ever worked for me. We fail in two key areas. The first is our fault. We don’t give our reps a system that allows them to comfortably sell outcomes. I know. I’ve been there. Unless someone is willing to spend an extra $200 a week how does a rep sit there and comfortably say we can get those 10 pounds off you. They can’t. Plain and simple. Second, since we can’t meet number one we have never effectively trained our reps how to gain agreement on a prospects specific goals. So they sell features. They have no choice. Earlier today I reposted a post from RAMP. Now I have no skin in that game. But I am screaming to anyone that is listening. Put it on your calendar to call them. I am telling you that that product can answer both one and two above. I’ve seen every sales related product you can name and nothing comes close to this. Plus it can scale personalized onboarding programming. Which addresses that join and just push them on the floor approach we use because we have no way to scale new member attention. If 80% of new gym members have quit after 5 months, what's your plan to keep them after they sign up in January? Every single gym will see a big jump in new membership sign ups next month. Always happens. It's as reliable as a frigid winter breeze off Lake Eerie. But what's equally reliable is that these "tourists" as they're known, will drop off. That's because most of them have: — No plan — No training — No accountability They're not set up for success so they fail. Here's where you, the gym owner, comes in. Put together your club engagement strategy for these new members. 1. Understand their goals when they sign up 2. Encourage them towards personal training to learn the ropes 3. Have group class and community building opportunities 4. Touch in with them regularly! This last point is so important. If you can talk to them, you can gauge what they need. This is how you build a 'Club Within a Club' - something Mike Brown and I mastered at Life Time Inc. People are far less likely to drop off if they have made progress towards a goal and has friends/accountability partners. So start planning NOW. Don't fail your members by letting them flounder without support. They WANT to go to the gym. And they CHOSE your gym. If you can get them over that 5 month hump, your chances of keeping them greatly increases.

These two questions always comes up first with gym owners I meet “How can I INCREASE my Cashflow?” and “How can I STOP working so much?” And what I tell them is that maintaining steady membership growth is not luck developing and retaining great staff, so you can work less is not luck Both require a different approach to what 96% of gym owners do so I want to walk you through what I do to achieve this today, I want to share with you the 3 IMPORTANT SHIFTS that I applied in my own gyms which made the difference between thriving and surviving Read it here https://lnkd.in/gWZdxBg7

Some amazing gyms in Perth and it was good to be able to talk up the local independents and separate a little between what we all offer. It was also an opportunity to show where I see differences between small group training facilities and the corporates. A gym is no longer just a gym when it comes to the Indy facilities. If you are looking for long term changes to your health, for me there is no doubt that small group training offers the most comprehensive entry point. With Club 300 in 2025 for example a member could receive… 🔴 Fully programmed sessions all built out on our app so they can track progress, complete with video demos for them to do at a time that suits them or at our group sessions 🔴 Fully coached sessions in small groups all led by personal trainers meaning you have a coach for every session looking at your form, explaining why you are doing it and ensuring you progress over the weeks in the gym 🔴 Access to our open gym 7 days per week. You can just book your slot and know you have the equipment you need without overcrowding. 🔴 Body stat assessments every month so you can monitor your body composition changes (optional) 🔴 Community events creating the environment you will most likely need, to make going to the gym a long term routine. Basically, when you train with us you can be sure all you need to do is turn up, listen during the demos 😃, give your best in the sessions and let us do the rest 💪🏻 For everything else we also have additional services like our Build Programme launching now 🚀 for starting next week. This is for those wanting to train solo in the gym. We also have personal 1-2-1 and semi private coaching available with our awesome coaches and 6 week programmes covering training and nutrition. As you can see we have it wrapped up… what’s not to ❤️ All you have to do is ask for help! #club300 #club300perth #gym #perth #mindsetmovementmacros #fitness #perthshiregym #newyearnewme #thecourier

𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐟𝐬 𝐅𝐢𝐭 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐳𝐚: 𝐌𝐲 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 Since joining Chiefs Fit - Country Club Plaza back in February, I’ve found it to be more than just a gym—it’s been a game-changer. If you’re looking for a gym that energizes you and makes you feel part of something bigger, this might be the place. Here’s why: 𝐕𝐢𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 – The people here are inspiring, the energy is electric, and you’ll feel connected. You’re not just working out—you’re part of a motivated community. 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞, 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬 – The trainers are not only highly skilled but also incredibly approachable. They genuinely care about your goals and progress. If you're a service provider for businesses, consider joining a premium gym in your city. Yes, it helped us a lot! In Kovilpatti, it’s the only gym that provides premium services. Most of the members there are business owners. I’ve been a member of this gym for the past 6 months. A gym is not just a place to shape your body; it’s also the best networking place. You can get quality leads at a premium gym because you’ll find the right people in the right place. Every time I work out, I try to connect with as many people as possible, and there are so many easy conversations you can start. For example: “Bro, is that your last rep?” We’ve found some quality clients by working out at this gym. Fun fact: the gym is also one of our clients, which is an added advantage! Comment below if you know of any other great places for networking.
