Common HVAC Issues you should be aware of and what to consider. Lack of regular maintenance > A qualified HVAC technician should really inspect your HVAC system once or twice a year depending on your system. It is worth noting that regular maintenance can help prevent bigger problems and actually save you from unnecessary expensive repairs. Poor installation or repairs > Poor installation or a bad repair of your HVAC system can cause long term issues, a shortened lifespan and reduced performance in one or more of your buildings systems. Low air quality > If air quality is poor in your area contaminants can often clog up your HVAC system faster. Look into obtaining environmental information for the locality and consider changing or maintaining the air filters more regularly, again this could reduce your risk of expensive repairs in the future as well as improving the air quality in your building for everyone. Why hire a professional HVAC technician? Looking at this photo gives us three reasons why. 1. Do things right the first time - When you have someone trying to “figure it out”, they invariably will get some things wrong the first time. So, they need to go back and fix things even after they think they are done. 2. Increased job satisfaction - Working outside of your area of expertise can be very frustrating. So, your team remains more satisfied with their jobs if they can stay focused on what they know how to do well. 3. Know the right problem to solve - professional HVAC techs can often ask the right questions to help differentiate between the symptoms and the underlying problem. Narrowing down the sequence of operation failure. Equals less work and expense

As an HVAC technician, I’m here to share a little secret that most contractors don’t talk about: you can clean your condenser coils yourself. Yes, you heard that right! With just a garden hose and a bit of know-how, you can help prevent breakdowns, increase the efficiency of your system, and save a ton of money in the long run. So, let’s dive in and see how it’s done. First things first, why should you even care about cleaning your condenser coils? The condenser coils in your HVAC system release the heat absorbed from your home into the outside air. Over time, dirt, dust, and debris can accumulate on these coils, especially in a desert climate like Southern California’s. When the coils are dirty, your system has to work much harder to cool your home, leading to increased energy bills and a higher risk of breakdowns. Would you like to read more?
