The sale of EVs in Europe and the US is slowing down as subsidies have been faced out. The prices are still a bit on the high side. To continue the transition towards a fossil free car park, one way would be to let China flood our markets, another to re-introduce subsidies to "our manufacturers"... To win some time, we now land on tariffs to win some time. Eventually, and not so far away, i think we need to find the way to produce EVs at a lower price. Probably, a complete re-invention of today's battery technology - making batteries a lot cheaper - is the key part of the solution to get back on track towards a greener car fleet again. Thoughts?

Proton's mothership GEELY just like the other big Chinese marques are on a roll when it comes to rolling out new vehicle to the Chinese and potentially global consumer base. The Galaxy E8 closely matches the Porsche Taycan GTS in its 620KM Performance range-topper variant. In fact, this Chinese fastback outperforms the 'driver's-spec' Taycan in the century sprint, only falling short of the German on top speed - 210 KM/H. What do you think if it? What if #SouthKorea is the dark horse of the #EV revolution. When I read and write here and elsewhere about the #EVolution or #ElectricVehicles, it seems that #Tesla leads the way, #China is slowly but surely coming-on strong and soon to be the outright the #EV capital and the old #OEM's, #LegacyAuto the reluctant entrants. Little is featured about the Koreans. And yet, they have been a staple diet of #EV's since the beginning. Never too revolutionary, but a steady, strong and growing presence, never-the-less. Their auto industry is strong and so their products are usually solid, reliable and well supported. Are they the #Japan of the #EV industry? Are #Kia/ #Hyundai the #Toyota of the #EV future? Porsche's all-new pure electric Macan is equipped with CATL batteries The new Macan EV model under Porsche is equipped with a Ningde Times 100kWh battery pack, with a maximum range (WLTP urban conditions) of over 780km.
