Here's a 5-step guide for this FREE 6-figure résumé template (available at samstruan.com): 1. Contact details • Add your name, current city, cell, email, LinkedIn. 2. Summary section • I use this section to highlight 2-4 relevant career accomplishments. • It's NOT about throwing in keywords; it's about key EXPERIENCES. • Only tweak this section for each application (it will save you time). 3. Company name, title, and dates (include the months) 2022-2023 could mean Dec 2022 – Jan 2023 (2 months) Or 2022-2023 could mean Jan 2022 – Dec 2023 (~2 years) 4. Company summary (1-3 lines about the company and industry) "Babylon was a global digital healthcare and AI startup that raised $1.2 billion across 8 funding rounds. At its peak, with 2,000+ employees, its app and services covered 24 million beneficiaries in 15 countries." If you work for a large company like Google, specify the division or function you worked in to highlight your specific impact within the business. (Google is a search engine, mapping and navigation application, email provider, office suite, video sharing platform, photo and cloud storage provider, mobile operating system, web browser, etc, etc) 5. Measurable results for each role (5-10 bullets) ↳ Weak: "Designed and automated systems to meet project requirements and specifications" ↳ Better: "Automated the finance department's invoicing process (over 10,000 invoices/year) using custom .NET Core and C# scripts and reduced manual tasks by over 60%, representing an estimated $40,000+ in savings." *Education required for some roles but not all.
