Sarah, for instance, is facing what looks like mosquitoes, black flies, and possibly even some angry wasps this time of year!

Managing Technical Consultant with ERM Biodiversity Team

Field work in Northern Ontario summer... Hadn't been back for over 8 years...now I remember why. Despite the bugs, I had a great time surveying the regeneration and reclamation of a closed mine. Nature always has a way of recovering and flourishing...with a little help. #fieldwork #biology #ecology #reclamation

Forget "keywords" in your résumé and aim for key EXPERIENCES instead. Here's the difference: Listing keywords (provides no context): • Project management • Data analysis • Customer service Key Experiences (gives specific context): • Led a project management team of 5 to implement Salesforce for a 2,000-person SaaS company operating in 4 countries. • Conducted data analysis on 1,000+ customer profiles and helped reduce customer churn by 15% by implementing a retention campaign. • Achieved 92% NPS by managing 500+ weekly tickets in a customer service team of 60 people for a global retailer with 12,000+ employees. Key experiences are what captures the reader's attention. Not simply listing professional skills. Technical skills like software and tools can be helpful for search purposes. Summary section • I use this section to highlight 2-4 relevant career accomplishments. • It's NOT about throwing in keywords; it's about key EXPERIENCES. • Only tweak this section for each application (it will save you time). 3. Company name, title, and dates (include the months) 2022-2023 could mean Dec 2022 – Jan 2023 (2 months) Or 2022-2023 could mean Jan 2022 – Dec 2023 (~2 years) 4. Company summary (1-3 lines about the company and industry) "Babylon was a global digital healthcare and AI startup that raised $1.2 billion across 8 funding rounds. At its peak, with 2,000+ employees, its app and services covered 24 million beneficiaries in 15 countries." Measurable results for each role (5-10 bullets) ↳ Weak: "Designed and automated systems to meet project requirements and specifications" ↳ Better: "Automated the finance department's invoicing process (over 10,000 invoices/year) using custom .NET Core and C# scripts and reduced manual tasks by over 60%, representing an estimated $40,000+ in savings." *Education required for some roles but not all.
