Hey, LinkedIn network!! I am so beyond excited to kick off this semester by showing my appreciation for Insight Global. I wanted to alert all of you that Kendall Fellers and I will be together at the University of Missouri Business Career Fair Thursday March 7th (03/07) from 10 AM - 3 PM CST at the Mizzou Rec Complex! If you are looking/considering sales, I strongly urge you to come up to our booth, as you don't want to miss an opportunity like this. To get you prepared, I wanted to post some information so that you can see if this is a company that aligns with what we are looking for. 1. Strong Work Ethic: If you are someone who is not afraid of a challenge or the idea of pushing yourself, then sales might just be for you. Insight Global is looking to hire people who are always willing to go above and beyond. Since my first day there, at Insight Global, we have prided ourselves on our commitment to excellence and dedication to delivering top-notch service to our clients and candidates. From day one, I've been inspired by the culture of hard work and determination that permeates every aspect of our organization. 2. Endless Growth and Development Opportunities: If you are someone who is always thinking about how you can advance yourself in the long term, then look no further! Something that I love is that Insight Global only promotes from within! Meaning there are so many opportunities to advance your career within this company. Insight Global invests in your development to ensure you are getting the support, training, and advice that you need to thrive. 3. Company Culture: Something that I encourage my entire network to do, is to be immersed in a company that has a great culture. To put this in our very own CEO's words Bert Bean states "Culture is everything. It is the connective tissue that binds us all together within a company. To say it differently, a company’s culture is the summation of habits around the things people value." (Forbes, 2022) These are just a few of the many amazing things that I can say about this company, along with our impact, our philanthropy, our shared values, and the list goes on and on. I am so excited to hopefully see some of my network thrive at such a rewarding company. See you at the career fair, and if you can't make it, please message me if you're interested!

Assistant Professor of Practice | Director of Partnerships & Growth Initiatives - Department of Marketing at Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee
When I asked Google to define "personal brand" for me this morning, it provided the following answer: "A personal brand is a deliberate and strategic way of defining and expressing your values, skills, and experiences to others." Next, I asked it to tell me how to showcase my personal brand physically to others at an event. There were loads of suggestions for things to do in a digital environment but as far as physically in person at an event...the suggestions were sparse, at best. (But thanks to Midjourney for its attempt at tackling the question visually, below). A challenging question translates into a fun opportunity for our MS in Marketing Class of 2025, next Wednesday (10/16) at the annual Reverse Career Fair. This event flips the traditional "job fair" model upside down with students being offered a blank slate (i.e. a table and a table cloth) to utilize creatively to tell their story and advertise their expertise in any creative modality they elect to pursue. Intrigued at what the results will look like among this talented group of Department of Marketing at the University of Tennessee graduate students? Me too. Please accept our invitation to join us here on Rocky Top on 10/16 from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM (come when you can and stay as long as you are able) to see the answer to a challenging question come to life. Parking, light refreshments, powerful networking, and creative collaborations are just a few of the things you'll take away from this event. 𝗔𝗹𝗹 𝘄𝗲 𝗮𝘀𝗸 𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗥𝗦𝗩𝗣 𝗮𝘁 tiny.utk.edu/reversecareer All are welcome and the gift of your time is deeply appreciated.

Ally Behavior Centers shared a great strategy at the university career fair: Instead of applying to countless jobs randomly, focus on companies you genuinely want to work for. By connecting with alumni on LinkedIn and your university’s alumni portal, you can learn more about the company culture and the role you're interested in. These connections can help you get in touch with hiring managers, giving your resume a better chance of being reviewed by decision-makers, rather than just being filtered through an online portal.

Renewables Enthusiast | Penn Stater | Founder @ Bala Sai Nadh Estates | Ex-Business Analyst @ Enerdatics | Go Getter!
Hello, fellow Penn Staters! I attended the Supply Chain and Information Systems Career Fair at Penn State Smeal College of Business today, and this time felt different. Why? For the first time, I wasn’t nervous—I knew exactly what to do, say, and whom to approach. Here’s my tip: Instead of just talking about yourself, ask recruiters about their experiences—how their day has been, their journey to State College, and how it feels to be back on campus. These personal connections go a long way, and it worked for me! I also tried something new: I didn’t hand over my resume right away. I asked about their needs, the roles they were hiring for, and their key requirements. I then tweaked my resume based on those keywords, added a custom two-line summary, printed it, and went back saying, “Hello again! Here’s my updated resume—I realized I hadn’t given it to you earlier.” This extra step gave me an edge, and it felt more tailored to the recruiter’s expectations. And lastly, always ask them about their top three takeaways from their roles. People love talking about what they do! Special shoutout to Brian J Kiniry from CVS Health, Kaitlin Cunningham from Smurfit Westrock, and #Dtrozzie from ARMADA Supply Chain Solutions for being the sweetest recruiters I’ve met! To everyone out there in the job hunt: You’ve got this! #WeAre
