Several people I knew came here and I used to visit with them and I thought if I ever have the day, I'm going to come here to Booth and live here. I love that everybody here here I invite Healthcare, Beech Grove. We have independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing and rehab services. The staff relationship with the residents are great. They get along really well. They provide excellent care to our residents and are available to them. Whenever necessary. There's so many highlights, but one of them is just so patient centered. Our staff really get to know the individual residents. They get to know who they are, their needs, their wants, their compassion comes so much through. My mother lives here. It was a friendly place, clean. Mom was safe here, but she's happy that the people care about her. And I come up four times a week and it doesn't matter what time of day I'm welcomed. A lot of them know my name. That's a good thing. A great thing about our facility that says this, apart from other facilities, is that. Instead of having a regular call out, they'll have a watch light, call light that they can press, which allows them to have their call light at all times and it helps staff also identify them quicker and know them better. We have physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy. We provide the treatment to get them to their maximum level of function whether they're going home or they're staying here as quickly as possible. My favorite thing is the family like atmosphere among the staff and the residents. Because they care for one another, as family does. They'll come in and tell me what for breakfast or what's for dinner. And so ohh, that's I'm going to go down today. A lot of the residents here enjoy playing bingo and pokeno. Also on our assisted living side, we started having a wine and cheese on Fridays, which they really enjoy getting together and being able to talk and and have those little snacks. A lot of the ladies and the gentlemen have formed strong bonds from being in activities together. And then you'll see too that you know, might be playing a game together later on. You might look out one of the windows and they're walking down the path out. And the beautiful 8 acres, and we're located here on the east side of Indianapolis. So we're in a large city, but really we're a small town and have that small town atmosphere where everybody knows each other. And we look for ways to have fun. We look for ways to share wins and talk about those. And when that occurs, it sort of helps the overall morale, the whole team. I've lived in Beech Grove for most of my life and I would like for more people in the community to be aware that it's here now. They do care for them like their own parents and grandparents.

NPs say it's harder than ever to find two collaborating physicians. Often hundreds of miles away, the physicians are not needed, rarely consulted, and cost money. PCNP President Amanda Laskoskie speaks to KDKA News on Pennsylvania's requirements for NPs to obtain written agreements with two collaborating physicians, and how these requirements act as obstacles to caring for patients.
