Is a killer golf swing a hot job skill now? 🏌️♂️ The concept of a "killer golf swing" as a valued job skill in corporate America is interesting. Mastering the sport not only requires precision, focus, and strategic thinking, attributes that can be invaluable in professional settings, but a day on the course can also enhance networking opportunities. How important do you think socializing and networking are in advancing one's career, beyond traditional job skills? Do you believe mastering a sport like golf could provide a competitive edge in today's job market? Golf is not only an excellent platform for #networking and conducting business, it also reveals a great deal about a person's character and professional ethics. Observe the behavior of your fellow players: do they fudge their scores, offer generous concessions on putts, or employ a subtle 'foot wedge' when they think no one is watching? During your next round, pay attention to how individuals conduct themselves on the course, especially when the stakes are low.

Mental Performance & Wellness Coach | Owner of Peaks Within Reach | Co-Owner Bourbon Fat | Leadership Development & Learning Expert | Golfer
For what it's worth, I'm a 9-12 handicap and dropping. I drive it about 260. Can sink the long birdie putts. And, I'm a human-centered problem solver who can connect and engage during an 18-hole round. I'm also a mental performance (Sports Psychology) coach who can help others improve their game or leadership skills. #hireme #recruiters #consulting #golf

It is golf season and many executives love the game. Forget hiring for personality alone. Unfortunately, The Predictive Index as delivered by Predictive Success Corporation cannot predict golf success ( as of yet). We do though work with several pro golfers and their coaches. Day 2 of my #30DaysofGratitude My #Sterling jouney started exactly 1 year ago, one fine morning in Sept of 2023, I recieved a DM from a Recruitment Consultant on LinkedIn, and the rest they say is history. I wasn't looking to move jobs at the time, and I had recieved several other DMs from headhunters before that, to which I always respectfully declined and referred other HR Leaders in my circle. But there was something about this one. I couldn't place why at the time, but I gave a nod, and the conversations started. I would later know why - It was the #Sterling effect 🌟 and God was working everything out the way He had planned.😍🌟 Fam, It's been 8 months working with Sterling Financial Holdings Company and you can tell from this 3 min long video that I'm having a great time! 🌟 I'm LIVING MY BEST LIFE and DOING MY BEST WORK, as is our mantra at #Sterling Whilst making this collage, I wasn't surpised to see that I had so many dancing, laughing, playful & "shakara" videos 😂 Those close to me would attest that my personality shines though these pics and videos. If there is anything that guides how I live life, it is that this JOY that I have, the world didn't give it to me and NOTHING can take it away! It is beautiful to know that you can bring your full AUTHENTIC self to work with other amazing #SterlingHumans and #AltNatives. So as you watch these clips and smile through (I know you are smiling☺😍) It is my hope that you can reflect on these 3 important questions: 📍1. Why struggle to fit in when you can stand out? 📍2. In a world where everyone has a face and a voice, why would you want to give up yours for another? 📍3. If indeed, you were created by God, in His image and likeness, why would you let another human tell you WHO to BE and how to live? I often get comments from people, (mostly employees who meet me for the first time), and they say "Your own kind of HR is different" 😁 I thank them, give them a big hug and I tell them - We are changing the narrative👍 Your Head of HR can be fun loving, full of life, joyful and colorful with all the positive energy that makes you want to come to work everyday! That really is what leading with LOVE is about! So, what could be better than working at Sterling Financial Holdings Company? I guess it is working at Sterling Bank, or The Alternative Bank😁🌟 Meanwhile, do you own an account with #SterlingBank or #AltBank? No keh? Are you really my friend if the answer is NO? Oya, let me list out your tasks for this week 😁 🎯 1. Visit Sterling.ng & altbank.ng 🎯 2. Go on your app store and download the #OneBank app, & the #AltBank app. 🎯 3. Follow Sterling Bank & The Alternative Bank pages on LinkedIn and across SM👍 Then we can continue our friendship!😁 Happy New week Blessed Fam! The song says it all: 🌟 It can only be God 🌟 I'm super blessed 🌟 It only gets BETTER from here. #30daysGratitudeChallengewithOmotolaDA #30daysofGratitude #Sterling Omotola DA💎 #TheTalentBuilder
