Advancing the energy transition globally by connecting the dots and empowering women | Transformational Leadership & DEI | Future of Renewable Energy | Women Empowerment & Energy Transition Advocate | Speaker | Moderator
Just tuned into the launch of REN21’s Renewable Energy and Sustainability Report (RESR), and it's fascinating to see the key sustainability principles outlined in the report. The report covers topics such as the careful siting of renewable energy infrastructure and the preservation of natural resources, development of circularity in renewables supply chains, and the involvement of all stakeholders including affected communities as well as all available talent from both #women and men, an aspect that GWNET: Global Women's Network for the Energy Transition is very passionate about! If you wish to access the full report, check out the link in the comment section! #energyjustice

"Data from 60 Decibels’ reveals that women-led companies are more effective in serving their customers, with lower rates of over-indebtedness and fewer challenges with energy access products or services. Additionally, these companies reach a higher proportion of female customers." Data-driven insights from 60 Decibels research that support the Solar Sister mission and method. Supporting women entrepreneurs is not just the right thing to do (though it is!), it is the smart thing to do! #womenentrepreneurs #data
The off-grid energy sector, with a reputation of being male-dominated and internationally-led, has historically underinvested in locally owned companies. As part of its Inclusive Energy Opportunity initiative, 60 Decibels conducted impact measurement surveys of early-stage, locally-owned, women-led companies in important emerging markets and specific technology categories. We share insights from 60 Decibels' "Why Off-Grid Matters 2024" report and how Grassroot Power is demonstrating potential for local renewable energy enterprises. Efforts should be made to increase the participation of women and local entrepreneurs in business accelerator programs to enhance their visibility. ⚡️ Launching #Her4Energy: Empowering Women in the Energy Sector Today, at the 10th #ARLEM meeting in Carcassonne, we discussed the importance of #energy justice. The successes of energy communities show us how reducing fossil fuel reliance can be achieved through solidarity and sharing. These #communities use #technology to help people see and control their energy use, making everyone more aware and #involved. In this context, I'm happy to share our new #Her4Energy tool. It shows how energy issues affect women and provides ways to include them in the energy sector. I invite all partners—cities, ministries, and communities—to explore and use #Her4Energy. Together, we can make energy more inclusive and sustainable. 📝https://lnkd.in/errnV5VS European Investment Bank (EIB) UNOPS Cities Alliance C40 Cities Clima-Med - Acting for Climate in South Mediterranean European Commission European Committee of the Regions Ministero degli Affari Esteri e della Cooperazione Internazionale Ministère des Affaires étrangères français
