Despite the initial reactions of dislike, discomfort, annoyance, and resistance to opposition, successful leaders and healthy teams know that disagreement and differing viewpoints are necessary for good decisions and productive teams. When you separate the behavior from the person, notice and manage your own reactions, and take explicit steps to encourage and reward opposition, you will be moving toward building stronger teams and running your business more effectively. #ManagingConflicts

This is great. You really never know what's going on behind closed doors. A lot of times people's personal experience completely defies our assumptions. You never know how much a kind word means to an employee or teammate. #GrowthMindset #Leadership #Facilities #Management

How well do you truly know your people? Every one of us is fighting a war that we tell no one about. Behind the smiles and productivity lies a myriad of internal battles. As leaders, it's not just about driving profits or hitting targets; it's about understanding the human beings within our organisations. Knowing our employees isn't just a leadership tactic; it's a moral imperative. So, how do we ensure that we're not just leaders in name, but leaders in empathy and understanding? It starts with a genuine connection. Take the time to know your employees beyond their names, roles and responsibilities. Understand their dreams, fears, and aspirations. Because when you know the person behind the employee, you not only foster a more inclusive and supportive work environment but also pave the way for sustainable business growth. Yet, beyond simply knowing, it's about actively supporting. Again, let's ask ourselves: Do we know our people well? What kind of support are we providing to them during their struggle? And YOU, if you find yourself lost amidst the chaos, remember that you don't have to carry the burden alone. Reach out. Seek support. Because YOU matter. #mentalhealthawareness #employeewellbeing #mentalhealthatwork #leadership #mentalhealthadvocate #mentalhealthmatters

💡 Putting a Stop to Transparency in Organizations 💡 Have you ever found yourself in a meeting where the leader seeks agreement by stating, "All leadership staff is in agreement on this, what do you think?" Or perhaps, "Raise your hand if you're on my side of this issue." It's like being asked, "Are you a sinker or a swimmer?" as if conformity equates to success. In the movie "Christopher Robin," there's a poignant moment where Christopher is pressured to conform, only to gently assert his individuality. Similarly, as leaders, we must resist the temptation to use our influence to mold others' opinions to match our own, without truly listening and understanding their concerns. One of the greatest forms of waste in any organization is underutilized talent. When we hire exceptional leaders but stifle their unique perspectives, we squander their potential and show disrespect for their abilities. Let's foster a culture where transparency thrives, where diverse viewpoints are not only welcomed but celebrated. By embracing the richness of varied perspectives, we unleash the full potential of our teams and pave the way for genuine innovation and growth. 🌱 Let's make tomorrow better than today. #Leadership #OrganizationalCulture #Transparency #DiversityandInclusion #TalentManagement #Innovation #ChangeManagement #Empowerment #TomorrowIsBetterToday
