DC EXPANDS RENEWABLES PORTFOLIO WITH NEW SOLAR PARK IN POLAND We’re growing our renewable energy business in Poland! Today we can announce that we’ve signed a balancing agreement with Lipno solar park, which has now started test operations. “We are proud to announce our new balancing agreement in Poland’s growing renewables market. With almost 15 years of experience in trading power in the Polish market, we will use our trading expertise to support energy producers with balancing and route-to-market services,” says Senior Originator Piotr Rzeczko, who manages DC’s activities in Poland. Under the agreement, DC will provide market access and balancing for Lipno solar park, which is developed and operated by Wento Sp. z o.o. and owned by Equinor. Once operational, Lipno will have an installed capacity of 53 MW. Sonnedix has acquired a 49 MW portfolio of solar PV plants that are operating in Portugal from Cubico Sustainable Investments. Sonnedix welcomed the deal as its first acquisition of operational assets in Portugal. “This operational acquisition represents a step change in Sonnedix’s activity in the Portuguese market to date, delivering immediate operational capacity and secure, visible revenues via the feed in tariff scheme,” said Mario Volpe, Sonnedix’s Head of Growth for Southern Europe. “It supports our ongoing strategy in Portugal, where the focus is on converting our significant pipeline and continuing to grow our portfolio of high-quality renewable energy assets in order to deliver green, flexible, and secure energy to the grid.” There are four solar PV plants in the Portuguese solar portfolio that were brought online between 2012 and 2014, which are located in the southern regions of Evora, Setubal and Faro. According to Sonnedix, the whole portfolio is backed by the Portuguese government through a feed-in-tariff scheme, which provides long-term revenue certainty and mitigates risk by protecting Sonnedix against price volatility. “Portugal is an attractive market for renewable energy providers with its regulatory framework setting a stable investment signal,” commented Axel Thiemann, CEO of Sonnedix. “Through our existing projects in Iberia, Sonnedix is well-placed to leverage and capitalise on synergies to continue its growth journey in the region, helping us become a true leader in the Portuguese renewables market.” Sonnedix entered the Portuguese market in late 2022 and currently has a renewables portfolio that includes 172.7MW under construction, 51.5 MW in the development pipeline of 51.5 MW, and the newly-acquired operational assets. #cleanenergy

OX2 sells #solar projects of 45 MW in #Spain to Greening Group, a Spanish company active in renewable energy systems. The sale includes late-stage project rights of solar projects located in the Andalucia region and was recorded in the fourth quarter 2023. – Our total portfolio of solar projects was more than 6.4 GW by the end of the third quarter and this is our third divestment in a short time. OMV Petrom has acquired a 50% stake in three solar PV projects totalling 130 MW in Romania.  As a result of investment, OMV Petrom has entered into a new partnership with Renovatio to develop, build, and operate the Romanian solar projects. “The projects for reducing our carbon footprint and that of our customers, are a central piece of our strategy,” said Christina Verchere, CEO of OMV Petrom. “About a third of the €11 billion investments by 2030 will be allocated to low and zero carbon projects.” Under the new partnership, OMV Petrom and Renovatio aim to install over 1.1 GW of renewables capacity by 2030. OMV’s transaction with Renovatio is slated to close in H2 2024, subject to the necessary approvals. According to OMV Petrom, the new solar projects have already received access to the national power transmission grid. “We are thrilled to continue and extend our partnership with OMV Petrom, aiming towards energy transition and a sustainable economy based on innovation and environmentally friendly technologies,” noted Aurel Arion, CEO of Renovatio. “The green energy to be produced by our portfolio projects is an essential step in view of a future aligned with global environmental objectives.” Franck Neel, OMV Petrom member of the Executive Board, responsible for Gas and Power, added: “We are glad to have Renovatio by our side, they have extensive expertise in renewable energy projects. I want to mention at this occasion that the Poland's energy transition plan (National Energy and Climate Plan - KPEiK) has just made its way to Brussels. It is a comprehensive document showing how Poland sees its energy policy. It includes projections of the energy mix, plans to reduce emissions and develop RES. It should include two scenarios: a baseline (WEM or with existing measures) and an ambitious one (WAM or with additional measures). In principle, only the latter counts, as it must be aligned with the EU's FIT for 55 package, most of whose directives and regulations have already been adopted. The Polish one contains only the former - the baseline scenario. The new government’s Climate Ministry declares the target document containing two scenarios: WEM and WAM, will be presented for full public consultations and sectoral agreements and then sfinalized at the end of Q2/early Q3 2024. With a capacity of 19.9 MW, this venture represents a collaboration between MPC Energy Solutions (MPCES) and Akuo Energy, signaling a notable advancement in Colombia’s renewable energy landscape.
