Just learned about this excellent traveling exhibit,The Bias inside Us, a community engagement project featuring a Smithsonian traveling exhibition, t that raises awareness about the science and history of bias and what people can do about it. "On the website, you’ll find resources for teachers, communities and individuals to learn more about implicit bias. The project is grounded in research and teaches us that bias is inside everyone. It is part of being human." Take a look.
What can we do about bias?

What does it truly mean to be a father—of a family, a movement, or an idea? As we celebrate Father's Day, let's honor not only the incredible fathers in our lives but also the trailblazers of thought and innovators of their time. To father something means to pioneer, to pave the way, to be a visionary and birth something new; it’s about creating and designing something great that becomes your legacy, something that becomes bigger than you. From Carter G. Woodson, “THE FATHER OF BLACK HISTORY”, to Al-Khwarizmi, “THE FATHER OF ALGEBRA”, or even Toots Hibbert, one of “THE FATHERS OF REGGAE MUSIC”!! These pioneers have left an indelible mark in their craft and on our world. At Odyssey Alliance, we are committed to partnering with organizations that seek to leave an indelible mark. Those that seek to be the first to break the code to systemic oppression. We strive to partner with organizations to create and design systems that pioneer new solutions and transform communities. This Father’s Day, let’s celebrate the fathers—both literal and metaphorical—who inspire us to lead with purpose, passion, grit, and a general love of a craft. Shout-out to the #NFPs that work tirelessly with #fathers, men, and young boys, particularly in #BIPOC communities – building up and empowering creatives who will become fathers, whether naturally or of some profound idea. Your efforts in nurturing and empowering the next generation are invaluable. Let's take this moment to reflect on our journey and the impact we strive to make. Let's honor the visionaries of the past by going all in, today forward. Here's to being known for making a difference and the race towards breakthrough. #FathersDay #Juneteenth #OdysseyAlliance #thefatherof Akeish Forsythe, M.Ed
