Hey BBC News, it's BornGood, not Born Good. But anyways... Our main man Chris Barton (Operations Director), was on the tele yesterday morning explaining what we do to help businesses donate their tech securely to help bridge the digital divide. The North East struggles with over 12% of its population without regular internet access. This gap means many are missing out on vital opportunities in education, employment, and staying connected. But it's not all bad news. We are thrilled that more and more people are recognising this issue and actively taking the initiative to help out. BornGood has donated thousands of devices to children and adults since the pandemic, when the issue reared its ugly head. Now, our goal is simple: BornGood pledges to donate 10% of all the tech we refurbish to charities. As the Northeast grows with new infrastructure and development, our mission is to help everyone stay connected and empowered. Technology often exists to support and enhance existing processes. 💡A Thoughtful Initiative for Zepto to Consider💡 I've often enjoyed the free wallet amounts that Zepto occasionally offers, like ₹50 or ₹75, which encourage users like me to shop even when we don’t really need the products. While it's a generous initiative, it got me thinking—many of us, regardless of our financial situation (whether poor, middle-class, or affluent), receive these free wallet balances. But not everyone needs that extra ₹75 to make a difference in their day. What if Zepto introduced an option to donate this free wallet balance to those in need? By giving users a simple choice at checkout to donate their wallet balance to underprivileged communities, Zepto could take its social impact one step further. This small gesture could collectively make a big difference, helping those who truly need it.
