What sets The Adelson School's Entrepreneurship Program and DECA Chapter apart? We start early! I suspect we’re one of the few schools in the state (and maybe even the country) where 7th and 8th graders are taught by a high school DECA advisor. Our middle schoolers get hands-on experience with DECA Role Plays, sharpening crucial soft skills like public speaking, problem-solving, and creative thinking. These are essential skills that will help them in the future, no matter what career path they choose! 📸 Here’s a snapshot of our middle school students participating in one of my favorite activities from NGPF.org : 'Move: Your Tax Dollars in Action.' Not only did they learn how Federal Income Tax dollars are allocated, but this activity directly supports preparation for DECA’s Personal Financial Literacy event. By introducing financial literacy early, we’re helping students build a strong foundation for lifelong success.

On Monday, five University of Connecticut students will pitch their business idea to a virtual audience in hopes of receiving $500, $750, or $1,000 in seed funding! 💡 Get Seeded Pitch Nights offer UConn students a thrilling platform to showcase their bold ideas in front of their peers. Selected teams not only have the chance to win #seedfunding, but also gain mentorship and the opportunity to recruit other students eager to join their ventures. Each team has just five minutes to pitch, followed by a three-minute Q&A where the audience offers feedback and asks questions. 🗣️ By the end of the night, the audience directly decides who takes home the funding! But the excitement doesn't end there — in the spring semester, five teams will be selected to compete at Get Seeded Demo Day, where they can walk away with up to $5,000 to supercharge their idea! RSVP for October's pitch night to watch and cast your vote: https://lu.ma/uusqjkto Apply to pitch your own business idea: https://lnkd.in/evhrVdKE

I challenge any of my connections to build a business in a day! Defining a problem, ideating a solution, refining the solution, and building a go-to-market strategy, only then to pitch it to strangers … because thats what 150 students 14-15 y/o managed to brilliant success in our most recent volunteering day A couple of my favourites include: Reusable gum (cleaning teeth and the streets) Unbranded and discrete biodegradable period products A community based app around climate change and sustainability. To connect individuals, providing educational content and advice, and inbuilt ai to determine waste recyclability You may sense a theme ♻️🌍 If you are at PA message me to get involved in the next one ☝️ PA Consulting #innovation #enterpriseday #sustainability

Always remain a student ✨ I had an incredible experience in Nashville with my Pipeline Entrepreneurial Fellowship Cohort family! We took a deep dive into our financials, engaged in some tough but necessary conversations, and gained valuable insights that will help drive our future growth and goals. Most importantly we learned how to tell our stories through a financial lense. Scaling one day at a time! #ContinuousLearning #PipelineCohort #FinancialGrowth #LeadershipDevelopment #BusinessGoals #Thenextpaige #elainapaige

Founder & CTO @ Context | MS CS @ New York University | Talks about Startups and AI | Marching towards Greatness
Hosting an event for New York University students at a bar in Manhattan! Matthew Surface, Login Wilson and I are launching a community called NYC Student Builders Collective, and you're invited to our kickoff event. About us: The Problem: NYU has some of the best schools in the country—Stern, Tisch, Courant, Tandon, and more. But many entrepreneurial collaborations between the schools are often missed. Our Mission: - This community is all about connecting students from different schools and helping them form real, meaningful relationships. More importantly, it’s to fill the gaps between technical, creative, and business expertise to give world-changing ideas a fighting chance. - We’re here to inspire a builder’s mindset and promote a strong entrepreneurial spirit. We want students to feel that itch to create, innovate, and take risks. - We want to create a space where you can share your ideas, get inspired, and inspire others. Whether you're looking to start something of your own, collaborate with others or just make new friends, you're invited to the event and the community. We will be starting an online community after this event which you can be a part of. Mark your calendar: October 14th, 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. EST Register now: https://lu.ma/io5kkzis PS: After attending so many events in the past 6 months, it feels awesome to be hosting one myself, haha!
