At She Leads Justice, we believe that equity is essential for true freedom. Equity means removing systemic barriers so everyone, regardless of gender, race, or background, has equal opportunities and access to economic, educational, healthcare, and reproductive rights and resources. Today, we celebrate freedom, but true equity and justice are still missing. #SLJValues

For years, Black women have pointed out that our vision of reproductive rights must go beyond Roe. That’s why on what would be the 51st anniversary of #RoevWade, we must #TrustBlackWomen and demand Reproductive Justice: a world where everyone has the human right to bodily autonomy and can live in communities safe from police violence, that are sustainable for future generations, that support a thriving democracy, and with economic stability. Ready to learn more about how we secure Reproductive Justice, bodily autonomy, and thriving communities? Follow @SisterSong_WOC now!

Reproductive Justice is a topic we must address with care in the CHI and CSSW communities. We* are organizing a speculative design jam workshop focused "Caring for Reproductive Justice"-- taking place in-person and online during #CSCW2024. There is still time to Submit a 1-3 page provocation or position paper by August 20 that discusses a particular challenge, experience, or gap they have encountered in their work on reproductive justice. This one-day hybrid workshop will facilitate a design jam speculating on design and anti-design approaches that can support reproductive justice. The jam will mainly focus on unique challenges and tensions arising from adversity. Adversity includes tangible and perceived hostilities spanning the national, local, and private spheres. Examples could include legal barriers, social stigmatization, precarious or violent domestic environments, and more. Workshop website: https://lnkd.in/gUaQ5WzV *Great team shaping the workshop led by Benedetta Lusi, Michaela Krawczyk, Adrian Petterson, Kamala Payyapilly Thiruvenkatanathan, Emily Tseng, PhD, Lara Reime, Madeline Balaam, and yours truly.
