"Do this, do that, say this, say that.." Be more like this, & less like that… Basically… BE yourself… “except a little different” Why is it that no one is teaching to trust and develop your own wisdom? And pay attention and give weight to your own opinions. Why is it that we mostly hear messages to trust someone else over ourselves? Now there are nuances because sometimes you will want to go with what someone else says because it does feel like a full body yes to you. But the problem is when we don’t question it. We end up following a lot of other people’s (who have done and seem like they know what they’re talking about) and for them they do… But not truly figuring out if this feels aligned for us right now. Here are some truths you may find some truth in yourself: My brain (nor anyone else’s) has more valuable answers than yours has. You are the expert on what’s right for you. No one knows better than you about what you “should” do for you. But here’s the thing. Other people’s brains might have insights and stories that help you develop your own decision. But that’s all. You can’t outsource your decsiions to people who you may think “know better” or have more experience or whatever. Because at the end of the day it’s you who learns the lesson, not the person who’s advice you decided to take. The first thing I talk about in my free training. How to develop your own internal advocate so you’ll never have to rely on anyone again. The replays of my latest event are available until August 30th then we are getting to work. DM me “I’m in to watch the replays!” To start watching the event that is masterfully designed to land you a six-figure job this year!

Coaching strong women through personal & professional transformation to achieve greater clarity, freedom, and joy
Do you do things you don’t want to do? Saying yes to yourself positions you to cross paths with who you are destined to meet. Doing what you don’t want to do causes you to “short-change” and “jip” yourself which then causes most of us to feel resentful and blame others. Interrupt this cycle of feeling unfulfilled by choosing to do what you want to do. Remind yourself what you feel drawn to do is what your inner guidance is calling you to do. Join me for a 6 week “tune up” and reactive the 7 step process taught in the Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself Book Study so that you quickly optimize the immediate opportunities around you. CEO @ Realware | Forbes Author of “Rapid Transformation” | 25+ years of transforming organizations from failing to thriving with a people-first approach | NACD, CISSP, CSSLP
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗥𝗔𝗣𝗜𝗗 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗱𝗼 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂? Every person has goals, whether they're willing to accept them or articulate them clearly is a different answer. So, what RAPID will do is if you go through the process honestly, whether you're looking at: 👉 Your career goals 👉 Your personal goals 👉 Your personal and career trajectory Or you're happy with where you are and looking at how to make a positive impact at work. There are lots of ways to use RAPID. But I think the fundamental premise is: 👉 You already know what you want and what you don't want. 👉 You have to articulate it in a way that is actionable and that you can stay true to yourself. I think when people sacrifice their own personal needs or desires for something that is going to deliver some sort of external benefit or reward, that's where there's a mismatch. You're not aligning yourself with what you really want to do. RAPID helps you get clarity on your true goals and aspirations, and then provides a framework for pursuing them in an authentic, actionable way. Got questions? Ask them during my live RAPID Q&A session on June 12! (Link in comments)

We had a wonderful session on "How to Ask for What You Want," in Camberley with a group of brilliant students and very engaging practices. Many of us were told growing up that asking for too much isn't "right," or that we owe something in return if we do get what we ask for. These beliefs can make us fearful of asking for what we want or need, and leave us uncertain of how to even begin the process. However, learning to ask confidently and effectively is a crucial skill, both personally and professionally. During our session, we explored the roots of these fears and misconceptions. We talked about the psychological barriers that prevent us from making requests, such as the fear of rejection, the discomfort of vulnerability, and the misconception that asking makes us appear weak or needy. By understanding these barriers, we can start to overcome them. We practiced techniques to build our ability to ask for what we want. Through role-playing exercises and real-life scenarios, we practiced how to clearly and assertively express our needs. We emphasized the importance of framing requests in a positive light, focusing on mutual benefits rather than just personal gain. One of the key takeaways was the preparation and clarity of the ask. Knowing exactly what you want and why you want it can significantly boost your confidence. We also worked on the fear of rejection and on our body signals. Everybody left with practical tools and strategies to approach requests with confidence, ready to advocate for their needs and desires effectively. Remember, asking is not a sign of weakness; it's a demonstration of self-awareness and the first step towards achieving your goals.

Many of you know I am a fan of self-assessments as they give you clues to your talents and unique contributions. But they are only a piece of the puzzle showing you more of the self-image or ideal image. Self-assessments don’t tell you what others perceive. I like to say “perception is reality.” Consider asking people in your life how they view you. Perhaps you take a self-assessment but you also cross-check it with someone who knows you. A 360 review is a good way to do this professionally and get honest, anonymous feedback on how you are perceived by your colleagues. The challenge is you have to be ready to hear what they say. Arguably, the most effective way to get out of a painful situation is to implement this strategy... 1. Define the situation as it is now. 2. Set a target for what you want as your reality in this situation in 3-12 months. 3. Set a monthly mission that takes you towards your desired final outcome. 4. Set and complete a weekly target that takes you towards the monthly mission. 4 weeks and complete the monthly mission. Domino your monthly missions and transform your reality. I'm running a small group case study for the next 3 months. We start Monday 19th Feb. If you have a situation in your life that you want to use this strategy on, send me a DM with the words "case study", and I'll send you the details.
