India's First Air Train Set to Revolutionize Airport Transit at Delhi IGI by 2027 India is set to introduce its first Automated People Mover (APM), an air train, at Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi, by the end of 2027. This state-of-the-art transit system aims to provide seamless connectivity between Terminals 1, 2, and 3, eliminating the need for passengers to rely on shuttle buses. The 7.7 km route will link Terminal 1 with Terminals 2 and 3, making stops at key points such as Aerocity and Cargo City. Spearheaded by Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), the project is designed to significantly reduce terminal transfer times, offering greater convenience for transit passengers and those arriving from the city side. With this development, the often cumbersome terminal-to-terminal journey will become more efficient, enhancing the overall passenger experience at one of India's busiest airports. https://lnkd.in/gFh8Di5a

Congratulations to Bengaluru and Sarla Aviation for Leading the Charge in Urban Mobility! The introduction of electric flying taxis is an impressive milestone that can redefine how we navigate cities. This innovation could also bring a revolution in the pharmaceutical supply chain, offering faster, more reliable delivery of medications. Imagine critical drugs or vaccines being delivered in a fraction of the time, bypassing traffic congestion and reaching hospitals or pharmacies within minutes. This is especially vital for time-sensitive therapies like biologics or emergency medications, where every second counts. However, with innovation comes responsibility. As we move forward, one major concern is airspace security. Just like ground traffic, the skies could become crowded and complex, leading to potential risks such as collisions, unauthorized access, or even hacking of autonomous drones and flying taxis. So, how do we address these challenges? 1. Regulatory Framework: Establishing strict aviation regulations for unmanned and autonomous aircraft in urban areas is crucial to maintaining safety. 2. Air Traffic Management Systems: Implementing advanced systems that can monitor and control air traffic for drones and flying taxis will ensure smooth operations without interfering with commercial aircraft. 3. Cybersecurity Measures: Developing robust cybersecurity protocols to protect autonomous delivery systems from being hacked or compromised is critical. By investing in these safeguards, we can fully embrace the benefits of flying taxis and drones while ensuring the safety and security of our skies. This is an exciting step towards a faster, more connected future in healthcare logistics. #PharmaInnovation #FlyingTaxis #DronesInHealthcare #SupplyChainSecurity #HealthcareLogistics #UrbanMobility
Missing a flight in Bengaluru due to traffic could soon be a thing of the past! Soon, you’ll be able to hop into an electric flying taxi and soar over the gridlock. A trip from Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) to Electronics City, which usually takes a grueling 152 minutes by taxi, will be slashed to a breezy 19-minute flight—at ₹1,700, even cheaper than the current ₹2,500 taxi fare. According to Adrian Schmidt co-founder and CEO of Sarla Aviation, the project could drastically cut travel times across Bengaluru, with a typical 1.5-hour trip from Indiranagar to KIA reduced to just 5 minutes using their flying taxis. “Currently, a journey from Indiranagar to the airport can take 1.5 hours—very soon, we will reduce that to just 5 minutes with Sarla Aviations fully electric flying taxis,” he said on a social media post. “I am truly inspired by the leadership at Bengaluru Airport, whose vision challenges young companies like ours to push boundaries and redefine what’s possible. Together, we are dedicated to creating a better future for Karnataka, India, and the world,” he added. Talk about cutting corners—literally. Get ready, Bengaluru! The future of commuting is here, and it's taking off.

Isn’t it ridiculous to blame everything on PM Narendra Modi ! I believe that AAM AADMI PARTY (AAP) really wants some good critique and social media handlers. In the viral video, people could be seen sitting on the airport tarmac, eating and sharing food, while some could be seen using their mobile phones and resting, right next to the IndiGo plane. INDIGO 6E 2195 (Goa to Delhi) was diverted to Mumbai’s chhatrapati shivaji maharaj international airport due to unfavourable weather conditions. As the flight was already significantly delayed in goa, passengers were irate and rushed out of the aircraft as soon as the step ladder was connected, The airport operators in coordination with CISF QRT cordoned off the passengers into a safety zone as passengers refused to get into the airline coach and proceed to the Terminal Building. Passengers were kept under the strict watch of the airline authorities and security until further actions were taken. Meanwhile, Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia convened a midnight meeting with ministry officials on the matter, an official statement said. Subsequently, the Bureau of Civil Aviation and Security issued the notice to IndiGo and the airport on Tuesday. The Ministry of Civil Aviation's Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) imposed a fine of ₹1.20 crore on IndiGo over an incident wherein passengers were spotted having food on the tarmac at the Mumbai airport. Besides, a total of ₹90 lakh fine was imposed on Mumbai airport operator Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL) over the incident — ₹60 lakh by the BCAS and ₹30 lakh by Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). #bjp4india #bjp #politics #india #civilaviation #aviation #delhi #delhincr #aamaadmiparty #inc #congress #realitycheck #aamexposed

𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻: 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗵𝗶 𝗔𝗶𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵 𝗮𝗶𝗿 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗯𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟴 Delhi Airport will have a 7.7km automated people mover connecting Terminals 2/3 and 1 by 2028. The majority of the route will be elevated to minimize costs. The air train will have four stops for seamless transfers. Costs will be managed without additional passenger charges. The project aims to improve convenience and reduce carbon footprint. By 2028, aircraft taxiing on India's only elevated taxiway at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport will have an air train passing below them. Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL) has issued a tender for the construction of a 7.7km automated people mover (APM). The air train will connect Terminal 2 and 3 with Terminal 1, crossing runway 28. Estimations suggest the air train project could cost up to Rs 1,500-1,600 crore. The aviation ministry during Modi's second term did not allow extra charges on passengers to fund the project and advised the airport operator to build it first and then recover costs. This is going to be very demanding, specially when it is raining. Usually we see huge traffic while it is raining. Having a airtaxi or metro can save lot of time. Though metro will take time to get implemented, need to see how quickly this would be started with what scale. Because for sure this is going to be heavily demanding. Moreover, more number of pickup points would help to cater more number of people. #travel #airport #bangalore #airtaxi
