There's a topic that I hear about and talk about nearly every single day.... Provider Onboarding. Having spent most of my career as an HR practioner working with clinical providers, this topic hits home for me. This critical process touches many functions within an organization: recruiting, HR, credentialing, provider enrollment, legal, IT, facilities, procurement, etc. And it's so complex, usually requiring its own dedicated team to manage. Most healthcare organizations I talk to suffer from inefficiencies, disjointed user experience, different departments not talking to eachother or working together, etc. And there's so much at stake. Labor shortages, high turnover, lengthy onboarding processes, regulations....hospitals are missing out on upwards of $1m per month in revenue for each physician needs to be replaced 😮. And the saddest part: it's the patients that are paying for it. This is why I've dedicated my career to helping healthcare organizations improve their people processes.
