𝐁𝐢𝐧-𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 🚗 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 Every day, thousands of materials are expertly handled in the intricate process of automobile production. At the Volkswagen plant in Emden, bin-picking with articulated arm robot and camera technology is underway to enhance efficiency and precision in the assembly of the Passat/Arteon. The star of the show: the lightweight robot, robolink D – an early predecessor of the ReBeL! Supported by cutting-edge camera technology and a gripper crafted from a 3D printer, it's handling venting frames. The robot's primary task? To delicately remove the venting frames from a small load carrier (KLT), including the removal and disposal of the cardboard intermediate layers. These handled components are then seamlessly passed on to a downstream 6-axis robot, which assembles the parts directly in the line process on the vehicle. This not only ensures a smoother and more streamlined production process but also highlights the incredible potential of automation in the automotive industry. Got inspired?!
