In case you missed the 1st time my colleague, Chris Lichtmannecker, posted his well-written and all-encompassing essay on the benefits of autonomous mobility. It makes for a refreshing and educational read in contrast to the most written about and commented on aspect of this herculean task of engineering expertise, creativity, and discipline. Yes, the journey is challenging, long, and expensive. This is a giant leap for mankind so let's continue obsessing on solving the challenges that remain, mainly that last zero point zero zero ... https://lnkd.in/gCF6DBP4

Diving into the heart of electrical engineering isn't not just about connecting wires or following diagrams. So what is it? ... It's about crafting the pulse of innovation with every circuit we design. In our opinion, the real magic happens in our workshop 👉 There's something special about watching an engineer, who's poured their heart into a design, piece together a control panel. It's more than assembly; it's bringing their vision to life, right before our eyes. Every control panel we produce, whether it's snug inside an industrial enclosure or integrated directly into cutting-edge equipment (like those autonomous vehicles we're so excited about!), it's all about maximizing efficiency while upholding the highest safety standards. #EngineeringPassion #ElectricalEngineering #Innovation #SafetyFirst #ComateCreativity

Rise of EVs has brought in huge advancements towards bringing mature Software-Defined Vehicles (SDV) to the market. One prime example of this shift from Domain-Based Architecture to Zone-Based Architecture would be the Rivian's new Gen 2 Platform. "The ECU that runs the vehicle’s autonomy platform is the most powerful computer in the R1S and R1T. The system includes an array of 11 internally developed cameras and five radars performing over 250 trillion operations per second." #EV #Architecture #Zone #Platform #AV #Autonomy
