MBS Graduate in Entrepreneurship & Marketing (First Class Honours) | Seeking Entry-Level Marketing Roles
It fills me with immense pride to share that I've been awarded as Manager of the Year at McDonald's Glenellen for 2023 🏆 However this award goes beyond just personal achievement. The dedication of my team, has truly been the bedrock of my achievements. Their support and tireless efforts everyday have helped me to overcome challenges and have transformed potential setbacks into stepping stones for growth. This award, therefore, is a reflection of the collective spirit and the extraordinary efforts of every single member of my store. Personally it's a shared victory, celebrating the incredible teamwork and resilience that has been created through my tenure which started in 2019. Personally the complexities of both work and academic commitments has certainly posed a substantial challenge to me. However it has been immensely beneficial for my growth on both a personal and professional level. This balancing act has not only demonstrated my ability to manage diverse commitments effectively but has also pushed me to excel in both areas. It stands as a powerful reminder of what perseverance and dedication can achieve. My time spent at McDonald's has filled me with both gratitude and happiness. This is due to my McDonalds journey offering me invaluable lessons in leadership, teamwork, and adaptability. With that though, i'd like to give a massive thank you to everyone who's been part of my incredible journey. Your encouragement, support and teamwork have been the backbone of my experience. Here's to a future brimming with more growth, learning and achievements! 🚀 #Manager #leadership #professionalgrowth #award #adaptability #gratitude #successstory #teamwork #resilience #careerdevelopment

💥💥💥Whether you believe it or not, at this very moment you have the potential to accomplish extraordinary things!💥💥💥 The FINAL of our Aramark UK Chef of the Year 2024 competition is on Thursday 8th March and our talented chefs from all parts of our business will compete against each other to claim a coveted place in our Aramark global competition in TORONTO later this year!! 🤩 I’ve been thinking about how I approached these things over the years, so here’s a few top tips of how I received competition golds: 🎯Practice, Practice, Practice! 🎯Challenge yourself, be passionate & be creative! 🎯Follow the competition rules. 🎯M. E. P it’s should be perfect, leave nothing to chance. 🎯Stay calm, try to focus on the task at hand! 🎯Talking of hands- they will shake- don’t panic it’s just adrenalin!! 🎯Manage your time and remember to take deep breaths! (I used to sing the same song) 🎯If you find yourself beginning to panic, its ok to take a moment, refocus & get cracking!! 🎯Be confident, think positively, you deserve to be here! 🎯Value your skills, trust yourself and your ability. 🎯Most importantly have fun!! 💫If you don’t win this time, it ok. Take it for what it is, a competition and not the end of something but an opportunity to learn massively from the experience. Tom Ford Dave Cousin Liam Davidson Richard Broadwith Barry Gamble Nick Sharma Arron Price Mark Figueroa @Alex Fjorn porter 💫You have a support system around you, so if you need to talk it out our Heads of Culinary Phil Quinn Lee Martin MCGB Paul Lewis Kev Wicks Sean Simmonds are here for you so reach out. 🥰 💫Most importantly, be kind to yourself and enjoy the next few days!! How did working at different restaurants help you grow in your career? ✏️ Working in different restaurants has helped me grow in my career by exposing me to a wide range of restaurant environments, management styles, and customer preferences. Each restaurant has its own unique set of challenges, and by working in different establishments, I have been able to develop versatile skills that allow me to adapt to various situations. I've also had the opportunity to learn from different supervisors and managers, picking up valuable leadership and management techniques along the way. Additionally, working in diverse restaurants has given me insight into different cuisines, service styles, and operational practices, which has broadened my knowledge and expertise in the industry. Overall, my experiences in different restaurants have allowed me to continuously develop my skills, knowledge, and adaptability, enabling me to take on the responsibilities of a restaurant supervisor with confidence.

When your first job is at McDonald’s… 🍔 You learn about processes and standards. You learn to think quick on your feet and be cool under pressure. You learn about customer service. You meet a sweet older couple every Sunday morning and you know their order by heart. ❤️ You learn how to clean, mop, disinfect, and make the stainless-steel shine! You work with a diverse team, and you start to realize it’s ok if people have different opinions from yours. You build strong friendships. You learn about job training and then how to train others. You learn life skills. Thank you, McDonald’s, for teaching me all this and more! 🍟 We all started somewhere and that shaped a part of who you are today. Even if you didn’t enjoy your first job, I bet you learned something from it. You may have learned how not to treat people from a bad boss, or how others should be appreciated and respected. What did you learn from your fist job and how did that shape the person you are today? #Leadership #lifeskills 🍔 #McDonalds #McLeanForrester

🍸 What job did you do in your early days that prepped you for being amazing at what you do today? 🥃 I spent 10 years in the restaurant industry as a bartender and server in fine dining and let me tell you...you learn a lot about people when you control the destiny of their food and booze 😎 I credit my experience in restaurants to my success as a People leader all the time. It taught me how to uncover a person's motivators, it taught me to be a mediator and problem solver, it taught me business principles and was the catalyst for me getting my business degree. There are way too many to list. Tell me your story! #growth #community #yourstory

Recruiting and Onboarding| People Operations| Driving Operational Excellence| Purpose Alignment Consultant |Speaker| Best-selling author|
During a weekend trip with a friend, I struck up a conversation with a waiter at a diner. His friendly demeanor, excellent service, confidence, and engaging conversation impressed us. Assuming he was the manager, we inquired, but he denied it. Even when we suggested the possibility of a team or shift leader role, he again declined. His response surprised me, given his obvious leadership qualities. The waiter proceeded to explain that despite his intelligence and capabilities, he chose to work at the restaurant because it offered a steady and honest income. I couldn't help but agree, acknowledging the value of meaningful work. His personality and confidence radiated in his every move. It was clear that confidence isn't about perfection, but rather embracing one's strengths and embracing uniqueness. Take a moment to reflect on a skill or quality that you excel in and put it in the comments. I'll leave mine too! 😃 #confidencebuilding #confidencestrategies #confidencetips #leadershipdevelopment #leadershipqualities #transformationjourney #purposealignment #consultant
