🌟 Exciting News from Training Vision Ireland! 🌟 Since last October, we've been part of an innovative 2-year Erasmus+ project in vocational education and training (KA220-VET), titled "Digital Twin for VET Schools." Our mission? To enhance VET curricula to meet the competencies required by Industry 4.0. By leveraging Digital Twin technology, we aim to bridge the gap in facilities and equipment, enabling schools to offer practical, hands-on learning experiences. This initiative also focuses on boosting the digital skills of VET teachers to support these cutting-edge activities. We’re thrilled to announce that the Competence Framework is now available on the project’s website! 📝 Here’s a quick overview: - The framework outlines 11 key profiles needed by Industry 4.0 across partner countries (Italy, Spain, Ireland, Greece, Poland). - It targets students at the 4th and 5th EQF levels, detailing profiles in terms of knowledge, skills, and competences. - The document also includes the methodology used by the DiTwin partnership, allowing organisations to replicate and adapt it to their specific needs. These profiles are described in terms of knowledge, skills, and competences using a common language, aligning with the learning outcomes approach recognized across Europe. Aligned with the standard VET curricula of partner countries, the Competence Framework aims to seamlessly integrate into VET school practices. It supports schools and teachers in up-skilling VET students with the competences demanded by Industry 4.0, facilitating their transition from school to work and addressing youth unemployment and workforce shortages in the Industry 4.0 sector. Recognized by the European Union as crucial technologies for tomorrow's economy, Industry 4.0 technologies lack appropriate and multidisciplinary curricula providing the necessary digital skills. The Competence Framework addresses this gap, promoting innovation and digital transformation.
