This is a reason to celebrate as the medals go out to only the top 35% of companies evaluated. 🎉 🥈 Röchling Medical Brensbach has once again secured the silver medal and even improved its score, placing it among the top 15% of all companies assessed. We congratulate them warmly on this great achievement!   🥉 We are also very proud that our Waldachtal site in the Black Forrest has received its first EcoVadis rating, earning the bronze medal and ranking within the top 35%. A big congratulations!   The rank is calculated across all companies in all industries. Last week Primafrio took part in the webinar "Zero-emission freight - from long-haul to last mile - the future of energy infrastructure", organized by the International Road Transport Union (IRU) and POLIS Network. Dr.-Ing. Adrián Valverde Mateo, Head of R&D and Sustainability at Primafrio, shared Primafrio's experience as a tester and validator of innovative technologies in projects supported by the European Comission such as ZEFES and ESCALATE, and highlighted the company's key role in defining the future of sustainable transport within Europe: ·       Practical experience by the implementation or sustainable technologies in Primafrio’s actual operations ·       Descriptions of zero emission corridors through definition of technical and regulatory requirements for long-distance electric transport in Europe’s TEN-T network. ·       Collaboration in shaping new models with key players to establish a framework to boost competitiveness and sustainability in European transport. 🎤 On the future of sustainability in the trade fair industry Gaining new perspectives by having conversations with each other is a vital part of creating a more sustainable trade fair industry. We recently had a great interview with Ove Petersen, Co-Founder and CEO from GP JOULE Gruppe, one of our founding members, about sustainability at their company, in the industry and about their connection to STEP. 🌱 When asked how he thinks the topic of sustainability will develop in the trade fair industry, he shared: "Trade fairs are a mirror of society and the economy. They pick up on trends and build bridges to the future. The omnipresent topic of sustainability will therefore also receive increasing attention here and gain in importance overall. And that is a good thing. The origin of materials, their reusability, transportation and recycling will be topics against which organizers, suppliers, exhibitors and stand builders will be measured." Learning on the go... I've never participated in an trade fair before last year, when I took part in the London Future Food Tech Event, IBA in Munich, and FIE in Frankfurt. Although I'm still new to the trade fair scene, I believe I've started to grasp the dynamics. The main objective is to raise awareness, but more importantly, to convince potential customers that upcycling is essential for the entire food industry. Initially, I thought this was the only storyline i should run with, but I've realized that you can't just attend a fair with a single sales pitch. It's crucial to be adaptable in the approaches you take with potential customers, quickly understanding what they're looking for. Some are in search of unique tastes, others prioritize sustainability and improving their ESG reports, while some seek nutritional enhancements, and there are those who want it all. This Sunday, I'll be at Foodexpo in Herning, ready to showcase the innovative work we're doing at Agrain by Circular Food Technology. I'm excited to share how #SpentGrainFlour is not just a part of groundbreaking innovation for the #Baking sector, but also crucial for shaping a sustainable future.
