🧐 Article Insight! 💡 I'm editing a piece for our April issue by Mehran Ghadim on "The Rise of Biotech in Beauty" and I learned an interesting fact: Sirtuins break down NAD+ into niacinamide (negative feedback loop) but niacinamide is also recycled back into NAD+. I'm in San Diego addressing the Biotechnology Innovation Organization staff members and my fellow Board members, on the occasion of my last Board meeting (at least for a while!). To everything there is a season. My season of 22 years on the BIO Board, including the privilege of having served as Chair, has been among the greatest gifts of my career. I don't know of another organization with more committed, passionate, talented people. They have elevated and inspired me, and daily contribute to BIO's mission to Heal, Fuel and Feed the world. Here's the poem, one of my favorites, that I recited for my BIO colleagues.
