💥 PARENTS ARE INCLUDED NOW 💥 This is the FIRST comprehensive framework for AI in education I’ve seen that appears to prioritize parent and student needs and issues. When we prioritize EdTech, we get sometimes get a lot of confetti, champagne, and dollar signs. No offense, that is the nature of marketing pros. When we prioritize the actual Clients, the families, we get a path to AI literacy and ethics. Parents are a HUGE clients (children are minors) and are often underrepresented in AI discussions, as are students. Mr Aoun, props for including both.

🔍 Stable Diffusion AI's Ethical Quandary: A Critical Exploration of LAION-5B Dataset Recent findings have illuminated ethical dilemmas surrounding the LAION-5B dataset, integral to many image generation tools, including Stable Diffusion 1.5. An analysis from the Stanford Internet Observatory, spearheaded by David Thiel, uncovered that this dataset includes over 1000 URLs with verified Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM). This disturbing revelation underscores a broader issue of oversight in AI data governance and questions the consulting bodies considered by policymakers. The industry's reticence to examine training data closely is problematic, particularly when such negligence leads to the creation of images that inadvertently contain elements of a child's trauma, affecting even non-sensitive image generations. In the wake of these concerns, the AI Foundation Model Transparency Act, proposed by Representatives Anna Eshoo (D-CA) and Don Beyer (D-VA), offers a potential framework for enhanced responsibility in AI model development. The rise of cyberspace and the proliferation of the Internet ha s led to the increased availability of resources to a wide range of the population. Yet, has ot really been impactful? The highly increased level of information that one can find on the Internet by the click of a button and the fast - paced nature of such a system of information gathering, I believe has led to the decrease in the self analysis of complex issues like equitable wealth distribution or the varying quality of life among nations. This has led to the copy - paste culture and the heavy usage of AI (Artificial Intelligence) to write mails or newsletters that are generated by the algorithm, which more often than not can be biased due to the programming structure. This has led to the lopsided analysis of these grave problems faced by the society which need to be solved as soon as possible. We need to be careful in using cyberspace in a healthy way whereby, the cyberspace can complement, assist and supplement human thought but never replace the human individualism or our commonly shared values/societal morals. Hence, I believe that we must reduce our over reliance on AI and cyberspace and use it in such a way as to complement our critical thinking and analytical skills.
