Working in sustainability can often feel daunting due to the industry changing on a weekly basis and can leave you feeling defeated due to lack of progress and roadblocks. Given that many of you in my network work on apparel and cosmetic sustainability teams I'm sure you have a shared sentiment. However, there are moments when working in sustainability is rewarding especially when impacts are quantifiably measured, and more individuals learn about technical sustainability skills and concepts. Happy to share that Supplier Leadership on Climate Transition, a program to train factories on greenhouse gas accounting, emission reductions, disclosure and much more, has published an annual impact report showcasing the success and learning progress of participating suppliers for dozens of brands. Over 850 suppliers and 3,500 individuals successfully completed the sustainability courses and assignments with 96% of survey respondents stating that the training and assignments helped to increase their team’s ability to make climate progress. I know many of you in my sustainability network often struggle with things like traceability, accurate carbon accounting, and abatement modeling to reduce emissions within the supply chain. This program is designed for you and your suppliers to begin or improve your sustainability projects throughout the supply chain.
