Globally, we are witnessing extreme weather events due to climate change and scientists tell us that the frequency and intensity of these events is going to get worse. While many organisations are implementing strategies to reduce emissions, few are considering how these climate impacts affect facilities in their supply base and the working and personal lives of their employees. Even fewer are seriously contemplating the necessary actions in response to these challenges. At this year’s summit, we look forward to hearing from George Williams of Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI), who will join Fair Wear Foundation on a panel to discuss the topic of enhancing sourcing strategies with human-centred climate initiatives. George is the Just Transitions Advisor at ETI. Richard Payne has worked in the market research and insights industry for almost 20 years, and at Sporting Insights since 2008. Richard has a real passion for sport, and a flair for interpretation and analysis of numbers. He is responsible for the day-to-day contact with many of the company’s key clients, and specifically with global federations and new-technology markets.
