🌟 Celebrating ETSA Research and Innovation Days in Cologne! 🌟 Last week, representatives from ETSA companies and national associations gathered in Cologne, Germany for a milestone event in our industry – the ETSA Research and Innovation Days. It was a remarkable gathering that brought together experts, companies, and national associations to discuss the future of our sector. A huge thank you to ETSA Chairman, Thomas Neyers and Alsco Berufskleidungs-Service GmbH for hosting this landmark meeting. Here are some key highlights from the event: ✅ Digital and #GreenTransition: The importance for companies and national associations to collaboratively manage the #digital and #green transition was a central theme. This approach is not just a necessity but an opportunity to innovate and lead in our industry. ✅ #Innovation Working Group Launch: This event marked the first working group under ETSA dedicated specifically to innovation, joining our other groups that focus on various aspects of our industry. How can market research contribute to a more sustainable society? That was the leading question at this year’s BVM congress in Frankfurt am Main. Our Project Manager for the DACH region, Johanna Krumbach, represented AMR at the congress and met some thought-provoking personalities. Starting with Bettina Klumpe, Managing Director of ADM, who honoured our industry’s biggest talents: On behalf of ADM, BVM and the German Society for Online Research, she presented awards to Germany’s best market research trainees, who will not only shape the future of market research but also be the most impacted by its developments. Johanna also met Guido Lorch, Managing Director of ipi – a leading German institute with focus on technical product research and full service consumer surveys. His company’s staff regularly take part in cycling competitions and promote sustainable lifestyles. The congress featured keynotes from industry leaders like Prof. Dr. Kenning Peter, who discussed the redefinition of marketing through sustainability, and Prof. Dr. Verena Hüttl-Maack, who addressed the complexities of sustainable consumer behavior. Stephan Grünewald explored the sustainability paradox, while Europa Bendig shared insights on intercultural brand strategies and regenerative living. We look forward to integrating the insights presented at the BVM congress into our work, continuing to drive sustainable transformation through market research. CATI counts. Cooperative Research Australia recently released the report from their National Innovation Policy Forum, which was held in Canberra late last year. The forum brought together Australian innovation leaders from business, research and boundary-spanning entities that foster industry-research collaboration with policymakers and parliamentarians to tackle common challenges. A number of discussions centred around the importance of collaboration between industry and university research. Several of the key themes covered on the day we think about at CAA, like how companies can scale in Australia and how we can build efficient frameworks for innovation so companies want to stay here as well as move here. A common sentiment amongst participants was that universities tend not operate in ways that work for industry. This is often driven by slower university timeframes, and differing KPIs compared to industry. It was emphasised that these differences must be bridged if industry and academia are going to be able to best collaborate for innovation going forward. It’s pleasing to see that changes are happening, albeit slowly, as this is of great importance to the cell ag sector in Australia—for the sector to thrive, all parts of the innovation ecosystem, including academia and industry, must work together. This is something we focus on at CAA, specifically aiming to foster these collaborations by regularly bringing all parts of the sector together. 🤝 You can read the full report here 👉 https://lnkd.in/gmpu73KN #Innovation #cellag #cellularagriculture #AusInnovation

Two days of a full program in Dresden: The #ICDLI Technical Commission now met in the eastern German city in the Institut für Holztechnologie Dresden gemeinnützige GmbH (IHD) to exchange current information and innovations in the HPL world. In addition to specific projects - such as the work on a European HPL label on quality and sustainability - the conference focused primarily on the topics of sustainability and #HPL, new technical developments, chemical regulation and a restart of the #HPLAcademy (the training programme of the HPL manufacturers). One aspect that is set to play a greater role in the association's work in the future is addressing political stakeholders to a greater extent. Of course, personal exchange during breaks and at dinner was also a must. The next meeting of the ICDLI Technical Commission will take place in Frankfurt am Main/Germany at the end of November. Furthermore, it was nice to see that a few new faces and member companies enriched the meeting. Event announcement: Another important agenda point in Dresden was the upcoming annual ICDLI European HPL Summit, taking place in October - this time in the Portuguese city of Porto. Participants can expect a varied program on the topics of market development, design trends, and sustainability. Many thanks to Lars Blüthgen for being a wonderful host! #ICDLI #HPL #CircularEconomy #environment #sustainability #technology #networking

Unlocking the Full Potential of Danish-Swedish Life Science Collaboration! In ReproUnion, we've seen firsthand how breaking down national borders and embracing collaboration can drive innovation and create real, lasting impact in life science. For nearly three decades, the Øresund region has been a fertile ground for cross-border cooperation, with ReproUnion maximizing the opportunities at hand to further both Danish and Swedish ambitions. As we look to the future, it's clear that we need to take this collaboration to the next level. The new life science strategies offer a unique chance to strengthen our ties and hopefully secure more sustainable funding for collaboration. It’s time to remove the national blinders, embrace a shared vision, and push the boundaries of Danish-Swedish cooperation even further. This is not just about incremental progress—it's about harnessing our full potential as one of Europe's strongest life science regions. Let's take that bold step forward together. The EU CAP Network conference ‘EIP-AGRI Operational Groups: Innovation in practice’ is taking place in Estoril, Portugal 🇵🇹🇪🇺 from Monday 6 May to Wednesday 8 May 2024. 🌿 In the CAP 2023-2027, Operational Group projects (OGs) continue to be a key tool for innovation and knowledge exchange. This is a milestone to celebrate, but also an achievement to learn from and build upon for the time ahead. 🎉 To celebrate and showcase these achievements, foster networking and knowledge exchange, support the next generation of OG projects and incentivise transnational/cross-border OGs, the EU CAP Network support unit for Innovation and Knowledge exchange | EIP-AGRI is organising the conference ‘EIP-AGRI Operational Groups: Innovation in practice’. This two-and-a-half-day event will take place in Estoril, Portugal, from Monday 6 May to Wednesday 8 May 2024.
