In honour of International Women’s Day, we would like everyone to take a moment to celebrate the amazing women leading, driving, and contributing to our continued growth and success in the industry and who are paving the way for progress and equality. These women inspire us as leaders, subject matter experts, colleagues, team members, mothers, daughters, and friends, not only at work but in their care for others and in the community as well. As of today, Everest (combined with our Brightech International and August Research colleagues) includes over 65% of women in our organization, with over 55% of women in management positions and in our most senior executive leadership team. We wish to inspire diversity and inclusion and with women in our CEO, COO and CFO positions, we have no glass ceilings at Everest! We celebrate our founder / CEO Irene’s vision, leadership, expertise, and passion to grow Everest to where we are today, and we are also proud of Everest’s continued successful growth trajectory being driven by strong women leaders and broader team members across our employee base. Let’s celebrate both the professional and personal achievements of all our female colleagues at Everest, and we wish everyone a very Happy International Women’s Day!

I started celebrating international women’s day early this year when I participated in our partner ANDI’s forum on equity and inclusion. It was inspiring to hear how women in both the public and private sector are fighting against old stereotypes and are increasing the participation of women in both the political life and the private sector. In DI we are working with diversity to increase the participation of women in Danish companies but it is great to see that this is a global agenda where our sister organisations from the Philippines to Colombia are working to increase the situation for women on the labour market. In Colombia the percentage of women in leadership positions has gone from 25% in 2019 to 34% in 2023. That is a result they can be proud of on March 8 as well as other days. Among other initiatives, ANDI has in partnership with DI started a mentor programme for women with leadership ambitions. In February we could celebrate that more than 600 people in Colombia are participating in this programme. It is great to see that the private sector all over the world is taking responsibility on this agenda, jobs lead to both economic and cultural empowerment; we in the private sector can really make a difference here. Happy women’s day to all, this a development we can be proud of regardless of which gender we might be born into. In this paper, we analysed the differences in the route to-the-top of 1483 board directors on 172 boards of leading companies across France, Germany, Netherlands, Norway, and the United Kingdom in 2020 and 2023. The report identifies three main findings: Women’s representation on boards is at an all-time high. In 2023, women held 44% of all board seats across Europe, up from 38% in 2020. The pipeline of women chairs is strengthening. There are more women in committee leadership roles, in vice or deputy chair/senior independent director (SID) positions, as well as in the chair seat itself, creating a more robust pipeline of highly qualified women candidates for future chair positions. Internal chair appointments are the norm. 62% of men and 67% of women chair placements were through internal board appointments, highlighting the importance of developing the next generation of board leadership and robust chair succession planning.

I am ready! It brings me joy to share that I completed the Board Readiness Program at European Women on Boards (#EWOB), as part of the vibrant Autumn Cohort of diverse and professional senior women leaders passionate about increasing women's voices in decision-making and foresighting across industries and organizations. It was an amazing programme and we learnt a lot from the superb organization and prominent experts, and from one another and the activated network. Thank you all! With this, I am open to, and would love to consider roles compatible with my current function, with expertize in radically advancing sustainability perspectives, leading change in an international team environment, cooperation architect leveraging diverse perspectives, driving value for the underserved towards community centric impact for a better future. Here is an opportunity to remind ourselves of the latest research: The overall Gender Diversity Index (an aggregate indicator, 19 countries*) across the 668 companies, according to the EWOB survey in 2021, was 0.59, which on average means the following share of women in leadership roles: - 30% of all leadership positions (board, executive level and board committees) are women; - 35% of board members are women; - 19% of executives are women, and - 36% of committee members are women There were also only 7% of Women CEOs More details on GDI please find here: https://lnkd.in/eKuzP-Wk #EWOB #womenonboards #genderequity #sustainability
