As our Medical Director and ObGyn Jennifer McLeland, MD MBA shares, proactive fertility care is important AND it has to be balanced. It's why at Frame we: -Assess the holistic situation to understand the patient's needs, goals and risk factors first, and then dig into next steps which may include fertility preservation and testing -Help patients balance the pro's and con's of different pathways and set expectations regarding success rates -Leverage evidence-based information and education and celebrate (and share!) the fantastic content coming from our clinical advisors and other physicians about these topics #fertility #infertility #eggfreezing
Appreciate the BBC for highlighting the delicate balance of the advantages and disadvantages of proactive fertility testing and procedures. It is essential that patients have the ability to have open communication with healthcare professionals so that they can make informed decisions that are tailored to their individual preferences and situations taking into consideration the multifaceted nature of reproductive health. "Being educated in your own body and what you are working with can only help in the long run," she says. "But while these services have important benefits and can offer peace of mind and a form of insurance for future fertility, it's crucial that they're provided with clear, balanced information without exploiting fears or insecurities."
The proactive fertility care industry is soaring. Is that a good thing?

Celebrating Fertility Preservation Progress We want to thank Progyny, Inc., Cigna Healthcare, WIN, Maven Clinic, and Carrot Fertility for providing comprehensive fertility benefits for CCRM Fertility patients. Notable companies supporting fertility benefits include: - The New York Times- $50,000 lifetime cap - Starbucks- 25,000 for treatments + $10,000 for medications - Match Group- $10,000 benefit - Amazon- Covers roughly two cycles for over 1 million employees Offering fertility benefits not only helps secure employees' futures but also fosters a supportive and productive work environment. Kudos to Spring Fertility and NYU. Across Spring’s clinics, egg freezing cycles jumped 37% last year. This trend is visible nationwide, with the prototypical patient getting younger. Corporate benefits are driving this change. In 2015, only 5% of large employers covered egg freezing; by 2023, nearly one in five did. #CCRMFertility #FertilityPreservation #EggFreezing #CorporateBenefits https://lnkd.in/euJvnWwf

Cofounder & COO @ Lotus Fertility. Insurance, Founder @ Whistle. Businesses can and should do well and do good for our society and environment.
Infertility is a disease that affects 1 in 6 people worldwide. Understanding steps that we can take to improve the dialogue around fertility within our communities, safeguarding our reproductive health, and offering support to those facing infertility is increasingly vital. This week I deeply appreciated the opportunity to speak with members of Delta Phi Epsilon Sorority, during 'A Conversation about Fertility' along with Cally Watts, our Founder and CEO of Lotus Fertility Insurance and Janice Devine, VP of Development of Magee-Womens Research Institute & Foundation. Here are some key points that I shared: 1) Education and Awareness: Arm yourself with knowledge about fertility health. Understand the factors that affect fertility and how you can manage them. https://lnkd.in/gErG3h5S 2) Proactive Healthcare: Getting regular check-ups and fertility assessments can be pivotal in early detection and prevention of potential fertility issues. 3) Community Support: Engage in and foster conversations about fertility in your circles. Break down the stigmas and build a supportive network. https://lnkd.in/gqAzXz6a 4) Advocating for Access: Support policies and initiatives that make fertility health services and insurance more accessible to everyone. During National Infertility Awareness Week, let's commit to building our knowledge and collectively demystify fertility misconceptions together. #NIAW2024

We are proud to be partnering with Fertility Mapper 🤝 Fertility Mapper helps people own their path in a connected fertility ecosystem. With their free NHS IVF and IUI Eligibility Calculator eligibility calculator, community-powered clinic reviews and expert information on costs, they enable fertility patients to explore next steps confident that they’re the best option for their financial, medical and personal needs. Sharon Martin, Head of Grants and Business Development at Fertility Network UK, said: "Fertility Network UK is proud to be partnering with Fertility Mapper as they embark on their mission to put more power in the hands of those struggling with fertility issues. "We know from our research and our recent Cost of Living Report that navigating fertility treatment can be incredibly overwhelming and put immense emotional, physical and financial pressure on patients. This is often exacerbated by the uncertainty around NHS treatment access and not knowing where to turn for the resources and information that they need. "We are excited to see how Fertility Mapper and Fertility Network UK can work together to develop this landscape for our beneficiaries and make navigating fertility treatment a lighter burden for all."
