Early detection can make all the difference when it comes to ovarian cancer. I was personally fortunate to catch it in stage 1, but I just learned a former Wintrust colleague lost their battle to this relentless disease because it went undetected. 💔 It's a stark reminder of the importance of advocating for ourselves in healthcare. 🗣 Ladies, listen to your bodies and trust your instincts. If something doesn't feel right, keep pushing for answers during your healthcare visits. Regular check-ups, discussing family history, and paying attention to symptoms can be life-saving. Let's raise awareness and empower each other to prioritize our health. Together, we can make a difference. 💪 #OvarianCancerAwareness #EarlyDetectionSavesLives #AdvocateForYourHealth

The Power of Empathy: A Simple Hug Can Change Lives “Can I give you a hug?” Last week, a patient came in for a routine injection. As I prepared to leave the room after the procedure, she blocked the door, handed me a gift, and began to cry. She recounted how, six months ago, I had given her a hug after she shared the news of her husband's cancer diagnosis. She requested another hug to express her gratitude. Surprisingly, I had no recollection of that hug; my notes only mentioned the basic injection. Yet, she insisted that that brief moment of compassion had profoundly altered her outlook on her husband's cancer. She felt loved and supported, a testament to the goodness in society. I spent the next 20 minutes in the room, listening to her life story and the struggles she and her husband had faced. She expressed feeling isolated with her husband in their journey, and how knowing there are caring people in the world was an invaluable reminder of external compassion. The moral here is simple yet profound: always be kind and take an extra moment. A moment of care, a simple hug, can mean the world to someone else. Let's always remember to be humane, recognizing the deep need for care and connection in others. #EmpathyInHealthcare #PowerOfKindness #PatientCare #HumanConnection #MedicalProfession #CompassionateCare #HealthcareHeroes #LifeChangingMoments #TheHealingTouch #SupportInHealthcare

40-yr cancer survivor - President/ Founder Cancer Exercise Training Institute - Published author - Pioneer and global leader in oncology exercise training since 1996 - 2019 PFP/Club Industry Personal Trainer of the Year
I flew to Los Angeles and had this done on Thursday. I decided it was worth the $2500 out-of-pocket expense to know that I did, or did not have cancer or some other disease that could be on its way to killing me. I do not work for them - although it would be a great idea : ) I got my report back today and almost had a heart attack when I was going to open it. There are a few small issues, but NO CANCER - ANYWHERE! This was a HUGE relief after the two years from hell that I have had, and continue to have..... I have always wished there was something like this and now there is! This also confirmed reasons for chronic low-back pain for years (not great news, but I'll deal with it). And, I have TWO bulging discs (MRI from last week showed one). Prenuvo is a company that offers full-body or near-whole body MRI scans to detect early signs of more than 500 diseases and conditions, including cancer, aneurysms, liver disease, and multiple sclerosis. The scans are radiation-free and can take about an hour, with patients receiving their results within 5–10 business days. #prenuvo #fullbodyscan #savealife #cancerprevention #cancerawareness #earlydetection #earlydetectioncansavelives #EarlyDetectionMatters #earlydetectioniskey #prenuvolosangeles ☝️
