Most art orgs don't have an advertising budget to get the word out about events. Instead they rely on a constant drip of content, programs and community relations to let the public know vital information to maintain the best engagement. Individual creatives have the same options for their own business operations. Depending on your budget and level of commitment in terms of time. Pop ups and trade shows require strategic planning and deliberate actions. Most focus is usually on production and studio work. Increasing your inventory in anticipation of sales. However, the best sauce is not in a jar. A tale of two creatives: One has been posting wip and final pics of works currently as well as sneak peeks of new work to be revealed at the upcoming convention. The other has not been on social media in over a month, and posted a reminder of their booth two days before. Which creative do you think will get better results? Remember you are responsible for generating your own marketing and promoting your events to your own community.
