Research Director at STL Partners | Telecom strategy | Consumer innovation | Sustainability | Future trends | Thought leadership
Great example of progress with a net-zero enablement service by a telecom operator! We just published our updated directory of such enablement use cases and sadly, the main conclusion is that many remain just ideas. But just as telcos struggle with their Scope 3 emissions, so do many other enterprises; and of course, consumers are becoming more conscious of their carbon footprint. So this is an opportunity for operators to offer more-for-more and help enterprises (and consumers) become greener. #Scope3 #Sustainability #NetZero #Telco BT Group STL Partners
⚡️ As part of our nationwide pilot, we’ve just powered up our first EV charger converted from a green cabinet in East Lothian, Scotland! Here’s what’s happening: 💡 Etc., our incubation hub has successfully installed the first EV charge point, as part of the pilot. 🚀 The pilot aims to test the transformation of street cabinets into EV chargers, whilst protecting our telecoms services. ✅ This installation kicks off the first phase of our technical pilots. Is your business prepared for the changing transportation landscape? As electric vehicle adoption grows, your parking area could become a significant source of additional revenue. Consider the potential of each parking space to attract new customers, retain employees, and position your company as an industry leader. Here are three financial benefits of investing in EV charging infrastructure: New Revenue Stream: Charge for the use of your EV stations, creating a steady income from previously underutilized parking spaces. Increased Customer Dwell Time: EV drivers spend more time (and money) at businesses while their vehicles charge, boosting sales in retail and hospitality sectors. Tax Incentives and Grants: Take advantage of government incentives that can significantly offset the initial installation costs and improve your ROI. Electric vehicle (EV) adoption and charging infrastructure are growing rapidly in Maine. As of January 2023, there were over 12,000 EVs registered in the state, up from just a few thousand in 2018. This growth is being driven by several factors: - Improving EV technology and falling battery costs making EVs more affordable. Many new, long-range EVs can travel over 200 miles on a single charge.
