New UK research illustrates the value created by public relations advisors in M&A deals. Simply put, experienced and effective PR support helps tell a lasting story to investors and other key stakeholders, safeguarding the transaction and creating a sustainable bump in value. 🔍 Key Findings: - U.S. companies that used top-tier PR advisors saw a 0.81% increase in their stock returns during M&A announcements. - This effect was even stronger (1.32% increase) for deals involving non-public targets, adding an average of $86.23 million in shareholder value. - Smaller firms and those with fewer analysts benefited the most from hiring PR advisors. - Not just short-term spins, these positive impacts lasted in the long run, indicating genuine value creation.
