Artificial Urgency, which are behaviors that intend to generate false motivation in others, is regularly deployed by organizations as an attempt to force successful changes. Artificial urgency generates two things: - Resistance to change in some people - Short term wins that make it seem like things are changing, but they're likely not Instead, organizations can tap into the intelligence of their people to create a bottom up movement for changes that people actually want and need. Then, if structurally required, the hierarchy can SUPPORT the change top down. #learn #adapt #evolve
