First responders are everyday heroes. And with more CO2 pipelines planned to support the energy transition, we've updated our unique, hands-on pipeline safety course to help protect firefighters and their local communities. The best part? It's totally free for participants – we cover tuition, room, and board.  In our most recent session with TEEX Fire and Emergency Services in College Station, Texas, firefighters set up a command center and responded to a controlled CO2 leak, rescuing a “dummy victim” from the scene. "You need to be fast on your feet, assess the situation, and make decisions. The hands-on training brings that to life," says ExxonMobil Emergency and Response and Preparedness Manager Mark Armstrong. #firstresponders #community #training

ExxonMobil has updated its unique hands-on pipeline safety course to provide more effective and in-depth training for firefighters. The course aims to improve firefighters' ability to deal with emergencies related to oil and gas pipelines, focusing on protection and safety during incidents. The update includes new techniques and best practices to ensure the safety of professionals and the effectiveness of emergency response operations.

We're proud to be part of this top-tier emergency response training that provides our first responders with the resources they need to keep our communities safe.

"Safety first" says the company building more CO2 pipelines and causing climate change... don't our firefighters already have enough of Exxon's messes to clean up? The only real safety measure is to abandon fossil fuels altogether.

We will need some of this training in Hampshire, Dorset and the Isle of White when Fawley Carbon Pipelines are operational.
