Introducing Ida Hugander, one of our interns, who is spending her summer working with the Analysys Mason team in Sweden. We caught up with her to see how her experience has been so far:
Q: What was your most significant learning experience during your internship?
Ida: It was working on a report about the Swedish mobile market. I updated data for the major operators and analysed recent trends and regulations in the sector. Additionally, I reviewed the results of the 2023 spectrum auction and identified key takeaways. Although I was initially unfamiliar with the TMT sector, I embraced the challenge and gained a deeper understanding of its complexities. This project not only expanded my knowledge but also enhanced my proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
Q: Can you describe a project or task you’re particularly proud of?
Ida: I am particularly proud of my contribution to a project on equality and sustainability. I conducted research, reached out to potential contacts, and assisted with PowerPoint presentations. The project's goal was to promote equality in the bioeconomy sector. Being part of Analysys Mason’s efforts in these critical areas was incredibly rewarding, as I had the opportunity to contribute to meaningful change.
Q: What skills have you developed or improved during your internship?
Ida: I deepened my understanding of the tech and telecoms industries and their societal impact. Additionally, I significantly enhanced my technical skills in tools such as PowerPoint and Excel.
Q: What have you enjoyed most about working with your colleagues?
Ida: I have truly enjoyed the welcoming and supportive atmosphere among my colleagues. From day one, I felt included and valued, which greatly enriched my experience. Engaging in discussions with my colleagues further enhanced my learning journey.
Q: What advice would you give to future interns?
Ida: Embrace this opportunity for professional growth. Approach your tasks with confidence and don’t hesitate to ask for help!
