A 1000% increase in impact for SFAC! 🥳 Not the usual 100% but a 1000% growth in reach since SFAC was founded! 👏 For a small charity, here’s what this monumental leap looks like ⬇️ In 2002, SFAC worked with only three organisations across three countries. 🫣 Fast forward to the year 2012, SFAC worked with eight organisations across eight countries. 🚀 Just last year in 2023, SFAC worked with 33 organisations across 16 countries! That’s a footprint in 51 countries in total since we started! 🌎 So what does it mean for children around the world?! 🤔 It means: ☑️ More children reunited with their families and fewer children living in large institutions (aka “orphanages”) ✅ More children living in foster care or with extended family members instead of in large institutions ☑️ More children are having their unique needs identified and met rather than whole groups of children being given exactly the same care. ✅ The children protected and cared for by each organisation receive a higher standard of care wherever they live. ☑️ New legislation, policies, and procedures are being implemented in many countries & organisations so prevention becomes the focus and fewer children end up in care. 🔑 You can also help us continue this vital work. Charity/Fundraising post - the inimitable Analía Coccia will soon be running a marathon to raise funds for Women's Aid UK, all geared towards ending violence against women and girls. It's an area where action is needed. 1 in 4 women are victim of domestic abuse at some point in their lives, which means statistically, we are all likely to know many women who have suffered abuse - even if we aren't aware of it. Reflect on that whilst thinking about the women in your life... Sobering. Here's the link to sponsor Ana for her marathon efforts - https://lnkd.in/eQDd3We5 Please sponsor if you can afford to, all sponsorship makes a difference. #charity #running #challengeevents #csr #domesticabuse #dei #inclusion PS - apologies if anything I've said is triggering or comes across in a privileged way - neither are intended, always open to learning.

"When children are displaced one of the most important stabilizing actions is ensuring they get enrolled in school that gives them structure, socialization, and protection." Tanya Pinto, Baal Dan Charities In late 2022, Baal Dan, a U.S. public charity, launched an emergency appeal for famine relief to address the crisis in Ethiopia and Somalia. With the support of our donors, MREF was able to grant $15,300 to Baal Dan, which sought to save children impacted by famine through food supplies for children and equal access to safe and inclusive primary education for conflict-induced internally displaced (IDP) girls and boys. On 31st May 2024, Our team at Lift the Children, alongside two Charitable Children Institutions (CCIs) we serve, had the privilege of attending a stakeholder forum at Safari Hotel, Lilian Towers on the draft regulations under the Kenya Children Act (No. 29 of 2022. The forum was dedicated to evaluating the regulations developed to operationalize the Children Act 2022. One of the key submissions and recommendations we made was the removal of the renewal fees for CCI certificates, which the regulations had set at Kshs 25,000. We firmly believe that these fees should be abolished, allowing CCIs to renew their certificates free of charge. Given the financial constraints many CCIs face in providing for the children under their care, adding an additional financial burden is counterproductive. We are optimistic that our recommendations will be considered and that these changes will be implemented before the regulations are finalized and enacted. This would significantly support CCIs in continuing their invaluable work for the children. #ChildrensRights #LiftTheChildren #StakeholderForum #ChildrenAct2022 #Charity #CCISupport #Kenya

The Sakubva Relief Organization is a beacon of hope in Mutare, Zimbabwe, dedicated to supporting the community's most vulnerable children and families. Through providing nutritious meals and essential monthly food assistance, Sakubva is changing lives, one child at a time. With PACT Missionaries support, Sakubva aims to expand its reach to even more children in dire need. Despite generous aid from Healing Hands International, the escalating demands far exceed our resources. Together, we can bridge this gap, ensuring every child receives the care and support they deserve. The reality is stark – many children lack the most basic needs, from shoes and clothes to access to education. PACT, alongside Sakubva, is determined to change this narrative, but we need your help. For us, accountability and transparency are paramount. Your donations are a trust that we honor, ensuring direct assistance to 150 vulnerable students. We pledge to keep you informed, showcasing the direct impact of your support. Join PACT in making a significant difference in the lives of Mutare's children. Your generosity can provide not just clothes and school supplies but hope and opportunities for those who dream of a brighter future. We aim to raise $35,000 to transform these dreams into reality. Be a part of this noble cause. With PACT Missionaries and Sakubva, you have the power to uplift, empower, and inspire the future of Zimbabwe. #PACTWithSakubva #UpliftMutare #ChildSupport #TransformLives #DonateToday #PACTImpact #EmpowerTheFuture #BrighterTomorrows #JoinTheCause

Our mission is our north star to guide all our actions and decisions. Here it is; Baino Social Impact is a non-profit organization dedicated to eradicating the three significant problems of illiteracy, poverty, and poor health in the most impoverished communities in Uganda and creating a lasting impact for generations through collaborative planning, community action and policy advocacy. While Africa is considered the poorest continent in the world, particularly Sub-Saharan Africa, and is home to the world's poorest countries, one region in Uganda is more impoverished than any other: the Busoga region. We want to focus our efforts where these problems are extreme. It is indeed humbling to be considered the poorest of the poor in a poverty-stricken area in Sub-Saharan Africa. It is necessary, therefore, to take severe action. We will need your help. Learn more & Support the cause: https://lnkd.in/ghsz_YvX #Donate #grant #empowerment #Bainosocialimpact #charitysupport
