Do NOT say this in interviews 🤐 Recruiters interview dozens of candidates every single week and know the difference between a star and someone who just wants any job. BE THE STAR and avoid saying things like this. P.S. We are hosting a FREE INTERVIEW masterclass in a few weeks for our New Year, New Career event. RSVP with link in profile and save your seat! ✅ #career #interviews #hiring

Nightmare Scenario--Zoomers Bring Their Parents to Job Interviews: Members of Gen Z put a high value on parental guidance but inviting one or both parents to job interviews could damage job prospects. The content raises these issues: How does the presence of parents build candidates’ confidence? What are the downsides of asking parents to accompany job candidates to interviews? How would the majority of recruiters and interviewers perceive candidates who bring parents to job interviews? How should candidates use parents in job search? https://lnkd.in/ghhQ828x #parents #Zoomers #jobinterviews #recruiters #interviewers #jobsearch #GenZ

Nobody is qualified to interview!! 🤔 Very few take training to do interviews!! 😮 Interviewers want the best and right people for the company - but are often worried about making mistakes!! 😕 But what are the main things people want to see: 1) Does someone have the relevant skills ✔ 2) If someone doesn't have the relevant skills, do they show the capacity to learn them ✔ 3) Are they going to fit with the team - nobody wants someone who is going to disrupt things ✔ 4) Do they fit in with the team pay structure - can we afford them!! ✔ Anything I missed??? Interviewers are under as much pressure to make the right decisions, nobody wants to turn people down for jobs!! 😓 #interviews #recruitment #jobs #pressure

Recruiters dole out a lot of advice to help candidates prepare for job interviews. One tip, however, could do more harm than good. The tip in question? 'Practice with a family member or friend'. While well-intentioned, unless your loved ones are hiring managers who interview regularly, this advice may not be as helpful as it seems. Job interviews are too important to not do your utmost to prepare for them. DM me to register for my online interview preparation masterclass, launching in April.

There's no magic bullet to having a successful job interview... It varies from one recruiter to the other. Sometimes, different companies adopt different interview methods - structured, unstructured, and mixed. To prepare as a candidate: - Have a knowledge of the business of the company. - Understand what the role entails. - Share tell your story - share your experiences but more importantly tell what you intend to achieve... - Don't forget to ask questions. #jobsearch #interviews #tips
