"Instead of focusing on children individually, separated from family and love, we now serve and support families holistically. And so can you." Our friend Emmanuel Nabieu “Nabs” 's story is evidence that “orphan care” is a much more complex issue than our Western culture realizes. There is no one-size-fits-all solution, but there are some approaches that work better than others. Read more about Nabs’ story and how he is using his lived experiences to support children in families. Reunification is the process of physically placing a child back into a family environment. Reintegration is more than just that point of physical movement of a child from one place to another. Reintegration is a process of a separated child making what is anticipated to be a permanent transition back to his or her immediate or extended family and community (usually of origin), to receive protection and care and to find a sense of belonging and purpose in all spheres of life. Working towards reintegration as the end goal of a case management process requires that each step is designed holistically and individually as part of a larger process. Reintegration takes time.

#MandateDriven #MaximizingLife #MyHeartCryToTheLord #SpotlightingVulnerableChildren "And he brought up Hadassah, that is, Esther, his uncle's daughter: for she had neither father nor mother, and the maid was fair and beautiful; whom Mordecai, when her father and mother were dead, took for his own daughter." Esther 2:7 Today is children's day and the story of Esther, a vulnerable child who rose from obscurity to become a queen jumped on me. Mordecai’s act of taking in Esther, an orphaned relative, a reflection of an investment in someone society might easily overlook. His commitment to her well-being, despite the lack of immediate gain, underscores a vital principle: investing in the vulnerable can yield unimaginable returns. Often, our world measures worth by immediate outcomes and tangible benefits. Some may question the value of investing time, resources, and love into children from underserved communities who seem to offer no immediate reward. Yet, the story of Esther challenges this shortsighted perspective. Esther’s rise to the throne is a testament to the transformative power of love and care. Mordecai’s faithfulness in nurturing Esther led to her playing a pivotal role in the salvation of her people. What if he had dismissed her potential because she was just an orphan with no prospects? Jesus Christ exemplified this selfless investment. While we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8). He saw value in us when there was no visible return on His sacrifice. This is the model for our ministry—one that is not driven by immediate gain but by the priceless worth of every soul. As we celebrate Children's Day, let us commit to reaching out to the voiceless and vulnerable children around us. Let’s be inspired by Mordecai’s example and Jesus’ sacrificial love. Here are practical steps we can take: 1. Plow: Create safe environments where vulnerable children can grow. This could be through community programs, fostering, or supporting local shelters. 2. Plant: Invest in their education and emotional well-being. Volunteer as mentors or tutors, and provide resources that encourage their development. 3. Water: Offer continuous support and encouragement. Build relationships that provide stability and hope. 4. Weed: Protect them from harmful influences and environments. Advocate for their rights and ensure they have the opportunities they deserve. 5. Watch the Harvest: Trust that these investments will yield fruit in due season. Celebrate their achievements and continue to support their journeys. Your investment in a child's life today can transform their tomorrow. Just as Mordecai’s care for Esther led to the salvation of a nation, your love and support can change the world, one child at a time. Keep building up, for your Hadassah might just be the next queen. I am committed to empowering marginalized underserved rural communities children. Support a girl child education under my watch

In his inspiring SPEAK Talk, "Love, Miracles, and the Power of Shelter," Charles Solis, Jr. shares a lifetime of experiences with the human brain and the concept of family as the ultimate form of shelter. Through touching stories from his 50-year career, Charles explores how shelter transcends physical structures to embody love, hope, and human connection. Charles defines shelter as an embodiment of family, a haven where individuals find acceptance, vulnerability, comfort, and forgiveness. This love has fortified human beings for millions of years, creating a universal bond. Through the stories of three children in Venezuela, Charles illustrates the profound impact of familial love and dedication. Meet Isabel, a six-month-old facing severe disabilities, whose miraculous recovery is attributed to her parents' unwavering love and a tailored rehabilitation program. Next, learn about Jose Antonio, a boy with learning difficulties, whose mother's dedication ensures he receives the care he needs. Finally, hear about Leopoldo, a child born with profound brain injuries, whose life was transformed through specialized care and the love of his family. Charles's personal narrative brings the concept of shelter full circle as he recounts moving across the country to care for his aging parents. This act of returning the shelter his parents once provided him highlights the cyclical nature of love and care within families. Charles implores us to cherish and nurture our families, recognizing them as the foundational shelter that enables us to flourish. His talk is a powerful reminder of the incredible strength found in familial bonds and the miraculous transformations that occur when we shelter each other with love. 🎥 Link to the FULL Video in the comments... #SPEAKevent #publicspeaking #publicspeaker #stage #standupandspeak #growth #event #personaldevelopment #inspiration #motivation #education #stepintothespotlight #SPEAKShelter #CharlesSolisJr #FamilyLove #HumanConnection #ParentalLove #Miracles #Hope #Dedication #BrainInjuryRecovery #Transformation #NurtureDreams #RespectForLife #HumanDignity #VictorFrankl #FamilyBond #AnthropologicalReality #Empowerment #CommunityImpact #LoveInAction #FamilialShelter #NurturingFamilies #FlourishingLives #Caregiving #LifeTransformingGift Charles Solis

Who knew??? Could it really be that simple? James, under the Spirit's guidance, said so. In order for this to take on personal significance, it should be done through your local church or in your community. We have a penchant for wanting to help those far away, whom we will never meet this side of heaven, while ignoring needs right under our noses. While there is nothting wrong with helping those far away, there is a great deal right about discovering and meeting the needs of struggling widows and orphans in your neighborhood, town, or even your church. A church I formerly pastored started a monthly "Widow's Lunch" to provide a hot meal and time of fellowship for, not only the widows in our church, but also those in the community. It was probably our most effective outreach. A young couple in the church could not have children. They chose to foster orphaned children through a denominationaly agency, and eventually adopted three of them. The church provided finances, clothing, and free childcare when they needed a break. This was done on an individual basis as people wanted to participate. If we (the church) took this seriously, we would not only please God, but we would go a long way toward meeting the needs of countless widows and orphans in our own area. It is that simple. #pleaseGodbyservingothers #lookforneedsnearby #beavailable
