Last month, Girl Scout Troop 2673 hosted a donation drive for blankets and pillows for the families in our care. It is our greatest responsibility to ensure families with children experiencing homelessness have a safe and comfortable place to sleep wile they get back on their feet. To learn more about how you can host a donation drive for much needed supplies contact Maggie Rios at mrios@familygateway.org. #FamilyGateway #DallasNonprofit #FamilyHomelessness

The Prime Legacy of Global Powerhouse | Dan Murphy's | Gregory Anderson—The Empowering Influence of Empathy and Kindness in Corporate Social Responsibility: Inspiring Global Change for the Homeless In a world where profit margins are often prioritized over compassion, an individual has emerged as a beacon of hope for the homeless population through an universal commitment to kindness and empathy. Dan Murphy, a visionary leader in the field of corporate social responsibility (CSR), has not only successfully raised funds to support the homeless but has also initiated a global movement of goodwill and social transformation. The intersection of CSR, ethical leadership, and societal impact has never been more crucial than in today's increasingly interconnected world. Murphy's actions serve as a poignant reminder of the transformative power that businesses possess in shaping a more equitable and inclusive society. By extending a helping hand to those in need, he has not only alleviated the suffering of the homeless but has also sparked a ripple effect of generosity and compassion that transcends borders and cultures. At the core of Dan Murphy's endeavors lies a deep-seated belief in the ethical foundation of CSR – a belief that businesses have a moral obligation to make positive contributions to society and uplift those who are marginalized and vulnerable. Through his strategic framework for ethical leadership, a new standard for corporate philanthropy has been established by Dan Murphy, one that prioritizes empathy, kindness, and authentic human connection above all else. As we navigate the complexities of a rapidly changing world, Dan Murphy's example serves as a guiding light for both businesses and individuals. His actions remind us that true leadership is not solely measured by profits but by the impact we have on the lives of others and the legacy of compassion we leave behind. In an era characterized by uncertainty and division, let us draw inspiration from Dan Murphy's remarkable journey and commit ourselves to creating a world where kindness and empathy are paramount. Together, we can forge a future where every individual – regardless of their circumstances – is treated with dignity, respect, and compassion. Let’s unite and embark on a collective journey towards a more just, inclusive, and compassionate world – a world where the homeless are not forgotten but embraced with open hearts and outstretched hands. Together, a difference can be made. Together, a brighter future for all can be created. Join in the movement for change. Together, the world can be transformed, one act of kindness at a time.

One night isn't a lot, but it can make a whole lot of difference. Every night, thousands of Australians experience homelessness. But it doesn't have to be that way. Our Managing Director Phil Allison is helping to raise money for the St Vincent de Paul Society to support Australians in need. For one night, he'll be sleeping outside as part of an eye-opening experience to raise awareness and bring home the realities of homelessness. To help break the devastating cycle of homelessness, your donation can really help. Will you help Phil reach his target? Donating can make a huge difference to people who need it most. Exciting news in the philanthropy world! Renowned entrepreneur Dick Smith has made a generous commitment to donate his $300 energy rebate announced in the Federal Budget this week to the Salvation Army, urging fellow millionaires to follow suit. Dick Smith's message is clear and inspiring: "Not all of us need that money. There are millions of Australians that are doing OK. Donate the money to an important charity and that means the money won't be wasted." In a time where every little bit helps, this gesture of kindness demonstrates a powerful way to make a significant impact. This act of generosity can serve as a reminder of the impact we can have when we redirect resources to where they are most needed. So many Australian families, including kinship and foster care households face significant financial challenges daily. For carers, additional financial support really does go a long way, grants for the purchase of items for the children and young people in their care can mean the world, especially when the cost of living is so high. Through our fundraising at OzChild we can help with the costs of tutoring, counselling, car seats, and even prescription glasses for kids – practical items that make caring a little bit easier. But we can’t do that alone. No not-for-profit organisation can, we rely on the generosity of others to make it possible for us to help lighten the load for families. Let’s join forces to make a difference! I encourage everyone who can, to consider this impactful choice. Whether it’s a donation to the Salvation Army, OzChild or another charity close to your heart, let’s turn our rebates into a collective effort for good. #Philanthropy #SocialImpact #GivingBack #CommunitySupport

This is Jacqui, the Support Services Coordinator at Girikon's Client Organisation: Council of Single Mothers and Their Children (CSMC). Jacqui and her team provide single mothers with the specialist support and information that CSMC is known for. Now Jacqui is speaking out and asking for your help. CSMC's Support Line Workers say they have never had as much unmet demand as now, and the need has never been more acute. The need for support and information has always been high, but demand has skyrocketed due to the cost-of-living crisis. Single mothers who call CSMC's Support Line need help now, but the sheer volume of calls means that many are having to leave messages and wait for a callback. CSMC urgently needs to employ an additional part-time Support Worker to make sure single mother families in dire circumstances get the help they need: https://hubs.li/Q02zplf-0. #CSMC #EOFY #Donation #MakeChange #MakeChangeHappen #MakeADifference #NotForProfit #SupportWorker #SingleMothers
An extra part-time Support Worker will change the lives of single mother families.

It’s an unfortunate reality that domestic abuse happens within our country. It’s even more sad to realize that it happens so often that there are large nonprofits that take care of family members in these situations. Safe Harbor in Greenville “provides pathways for people impacted by domestic abuse to survive and thrive, and raises awareness of domestic abuse through community engagement and education.” Their services include a 24 hour hotline, emergency shelters, transitional housing, counseling, case management, and much more. There are quite a few ways you can get involved. You can donate in terms of money but you can also donate standard living items like kitchen or household goods, diapers and clothing for children, school supplies, and other needs. You can also volunteer to help carry out the vision of Safe Harbor. Consider helping families be free from the constraints of abuse. #greenville #volunteer #nonprofit

October 6, 2024 is the NYC Chapter Out of Darkness Walk. It will start the NYC Seaport Pier 16 & 17 in the Seaport District. The event opens at 10AM. The walk starts at 11:30AM Many many of you helped last year with donations to my fund raising. I'm asking again if you can help prevent a suicide and support research into suicide. Please donate what you can. Did you know? The construction industry has one of the highest suicide rates among professions — with the rate among male construction workers 75% higher than men in the general population. 6,000 construction workers died by suicide in 2022 and increase from 2021. I've decided to sleep under a cardboard box this winter, spending one of the longest, coldest nights on the streets to raise money for people experiencing homelessness. Homelessness affects women, men, and children, with devastating consequences for individuals and families. But you can help! Support me during the Vinnies CEO Sleepout. Your donation will help the St Vincent de Paul Society empower people to get off the streets and into stable accommodation. Vinnies provides counselling, education, health, and employment services to break the cycle of poverty. Every donation counts, regardless of size. To show the value, $100 can provide a family with a warm, nutritious meal this winter. Together, we can combat homelessness in our community. Please help me raise funds today! Your generosity will make a lasting impact. Thank you. Allan https://lnkd.in/gMqgegTQ
